  1. I think you mean Reaction Strike. Not Reaction Innovations.
  2. I was fishing the Bassmasters Central Open on the Atchafayala Basin out of Morgan City, LA a little over a year ago and had a 7 footer come after my shell cracker ... MAN those things love frogs and wake baits. Being in a tournament and not wanting to ruin a shell cracker with the new bluegill color I quickly had to reel it back on several occasions. Same thing chasing bass at New Orleans city park Seminole Lake and Toledo Bend.
  3. When I lived in Louisiana I was always more worried about the Water Moccasins than the Gators. Those bastards would pop up right infront of me all the time and just stare at me. Thats why I started using my broom stick and some 65lb braid to lob their heads off.
  4. Toothy snot rockets are fun to catch. I fish Vermillion (Tower MN) and Birch (Babbit MN) as much as I can in the summer. I will eventually be moving back to Cali because I just cant get big Florida strain largemouth bass out of my system. Super addicted.
  5. Not yet but basswood has some monster smallies and I wanna go throw swimbaits for them when the water softens up a little. What about you? I hear south shore Superior has some awesome smallie action as well.
  6. For me it was punkers and Various hollow body swimbaits. This year I want to learn mrs hard body sinking swimbaits and getting these big northern small mouth and northern strain lmbs figured out and catch a few pike and Muskie in the process.
  7. I remember the first few I bought. First was a big castaic hard head trout second a hard head bluegill a couple ms slammers then went through a bunch of Charlies then i got into big hanmers la sliders and fish traps I got the original 9 inch wood punker in rainbow trout numbered 9 while I was working at extreme angler in Oakley. After that it gets kind f blurry.
  8. That lake has some absolute PIG spots in it. Lived near there when I was in middle school. My buddys mom worked at one of the marina / grills out there so we always got rental boats and a lift to the lake. Never got one THAT big. Kind of a shame for an awesome fish like that to end up in the frying pan.
  9. See you are still missing the point. I basically said the same thing that Justin said only I didnt give you the compliment of saying your baits are better. Yes you make sick baits. Absolutely your baits are masterfully crafted from the detail of the paint job to the way the bait swims. I'm not playing any favorites thats that. Also when did I say I design baits. I invest a lot of money into buying and fishing baits so I pay close attention to how a bait is made. Did I ever tell you or anyone I make baits or that I am a master bait builder? No. I still have no idea why you have this malice against me. Because I wont say Nate builds junk?
  10. Why not?? If any bait maker is succesful to any degree, 10 baits is nothing!! Unless you only make baits to order then I see your point!! Its not just 10 baits. Its money in advertising here, baits there, giveaways here, contests there, tackle packs for this tourney and that. We are talking after a while the pennies add up and belts are pretty tight these days. Im not saying anyone can or cant cough up the baits, but fingers are often spread across many cookie jars so to say. As far as forums go last time I checked this forum has less than 100 members. Maybe less baits being required would lead to more bait makers getting onboard which is more important to me than getting freebies to play with and report back about. Dont get me wrong user reviews would be awesome and all. But when a bait maker is under fire I think it only fair they be able to speak up or maybe even solve the problem in a public way so we all see how each company operates.
  11. Darth, judging from that lame photoshop job we probably should not expect as much as a real name. Just like the guy on the other site that ripped me for saying it looked good.
  12. Don't be scared!! Why pm me and then delete it before I can read it?? Please give us feedback on the bait. Would actually love it if Nate participated on the board and gave back to all the anglers fishing his baits and answering questions about how awesome it is!! I'd like to see that too but I dont see many small bait makers giving up 10 baits a year just to have to fight with people that do lousy photoshop jobs to prove something that cant be proved behind a keyboard.
  13. Well I guess the following companies stole Nates hinges to name a couple: Strike King - (example: King Kong Shad) ABT - (example: WagTail) Then again by that logic every bait with a joint owe a man named John Kreisser a lot of money as he patented the first jointed body fishing lures in 1907 in Cincinnati, OH. Also, whoever improved that patent with the pin/eye (as opposed to the eye to eye joint) and every is knocking them off too.
  14. I've been looking for one used and have yet to find one at a decent price. Most guys wont let a used one go for much less than what they bought it for. But, for sure a sick reel.
