High Power, how do you make this about your baits and Mike Bucca? Just remember, Mike Long has forgot about more big bass than you, I, and the top 20 posters on the site combined have caught. He has more bass over 18 pounds than anyone period. How many fish over 20 pounds do you have? You complain about baits, are you telling me one of your hand made baits has never broken, or swam incorrectly? That is just a fact of life when baits are handbuilt one at a time. What makes a great swimbait company is how the handle a broken bait or a shitty swimmer. You complain about a soft plastic bait ripping after a couple fish? I have had Ospreys, Hudds, and just about every other makers soft baits rip after one fish sometimes. Not all the time it is just a price to pay for the more sublte lifelike action of a soft bait. Let me call you a waaabulance. Maybe no one believes you caught those fish on your baits because they look like an eight year old knocked off a Triple Trout.

Spooky, not trying to jump into this, I do not know Mike personaly, have been facebook friends for awhile and try to soak up info when I see him at trade shows. I can say one thing, he sticks big fish and posts them every month of the year. To say he only catches fish in spring is incorrect.

Stick with the 8" in a couple key colors and stick with it. Bass eat 6" to 8" inch prey where ever they swim. My three favorites:

Can I get this worm in a Black Grape or Oxblood these would look great on the dropshot. That picture was taken right after I started working for Okuma. At that time they did not have a reel for swimbaiting. So I used Okuma rods and used my old Shimano Conquests. Since I have a couple 500 dollar reels I felt at the time I might as well use them. Now that Okuma came out with the Isis I use those and have retired the Conquests. Yeah I throw Scroungers and underspins for striper on light line during the Summer. But the drop shot does not work good for striper fishing so I will leave those tech pieces to someone else. So yeah I used to fish with Shimano reels, we all do things in our younger years, I mean you act like I used to run cocaine for a biker gang..... oh wait... Hey thats pretty cool you can post links to swimbaitnattion and no one else can. I guess thats a perk of owning the site. As for the catalog, I did not know they would run that pic in the catalog thats not my dept, but it will not run in next years.

Yeah that was good times. Actually I only asked you that once as a joke,(hence the part where we both laughed about it) the other calls were to make sure it was still on, but I believe you were painting baits so we rescheduled or something. Guess I should have used my third arm to hold the rod and reel in that pic, so I need the rod, reel, lure in fishes mouth and what else? I have been to your shop. Remember when I was looking for a real deal and you stated on this site if I was man enough to cruise down to the shop and you would gladly give me a real deal. I showed up to your shop chatted about fishing and baits (had a good time), but funny you said "oh I don't have any of those baits left." I never even mentioned that after you ran your mouth in that post you did not back it up. Isn't that your motto back up what you say? Instead of running your big mouth why dont you kick down some okuma stuff! Sorry I was at Willow Beach and didn't see this. I’m sure that Okuma would be willing to donate something to the site but Mark is in charge of the donations. Seeing as you banned Mark, I doubt that will happen but you can always call him to ask. Made it back to Willow Beach on Friday for a shot at redemption after a skunk last time. Fishing is still a bit tough but we scratched out some action. Nailed a nice fish on the Rago Raptor. My buddy Phil got one on the Huddleston Group Shot

I vote for swimbait tosser. That bait is hammered. Those punkers look good, but you can get a punker that hammered in under a season. That rago bait looks like its had some time one the water.
