Took one in the arm this Sunday at DVL. Today it feels like someone hit it with a bat. 3/0 Rippin and a Tearin, Rippin and a Tearin Also from Sunday got to love the Jimmy Houston wig and sunglasses. My entry for the arm, Eddies entry on the stripers.

You will want to stay at the Hacienda Hotel and Casino. Its on Lake Mead and about 20 minutes from Willow Beach. They have rentals, but I believe they open at 8:00 am. Alot of people troll or cast from the hatchery down to the marina and further south for a couple miles. Bring the big baits, they like 10 to 14 inch plugs.

Stripers were chewing, fish swirling punkers every cast, then I hear the whoosh, whack, and pain in my arm. There is a jointed Z-Plug with a 3/0 3x Owner hanging from my jacket and my elbow feels like its on fire. Somehow I pulled on lure and my arm was not stuck to it. I was layered up for the rain and decided since its not stuck in my past the barb in my arm I should be ok and when I got home....

There was a study that showed that the frogs are being hurt the worst by drought and low water levels over the past 10 years. I believe these frogs are in high altitude areas in the Sierras.

Just helped do a set up at Fred Hall just wanted to drop a note that the performance tackle booth is loaded with triple trout and nezuma rats. They had the small medium and large rat in the brown and white and black and white colors. They also had a fat selection of triple trout. They are in the corner near the Turner's booth.

To start, housing prices, gas prices, state government (the governator etc), vehicle registration fees (still over 500 dollars on my 2006 Tundra), and then there is the b.s. lake policies of four stroke only, lake hours of operation (DVL opens late at 6:45 but the employees get there at 5:00 am and then closes at 4:00 pm so the screw you from the two best hours of fishing in the morning and night, same as most lakes in So Cal.) Launch fees are a joke. Most lakes in Tx and everywhere else open 24 hours with lots of launching. Who the hell closes a lake???? Can't fish some spots because of "terrorists" might attack. Besides that I don't have many complaints.

I threw one of those to and yours and about four other guys baits. Guess I just suck.

I guess Jerry's big one was 21 pounds. Just imagine if he was fishing with 3:16 swimbaits? God only knows how many he would have caught!!!!

Man the weather was rough this weekend. Saw some heavyhitters on the river. Fishing for us was slowwwww. My buddy got a 23 pounder on the Z-plug, my partner and I blanked the big one. Saw Jerry Rago out there tearing it up. He trolled up nine fish from 10 pounds to 17 pounds. Gave some guy a tow back to the marina after he took a little plastic boat powered by a trolling motor down three miles and it died two miles from the marina. Threw everything at them, trolled, slow rolled hudds, nothing. Still a good weekend, think I saw Mickey and a couple guys out there. How did you guys do? Hopefully better than us.

Tired of being sick and not fishing. Six people have called me this morning from the water with reports. I am sick of being sick. Three weeks now and I can't shake this crap. I'm going nuts.
