  1. That rod is too noodle-like, IMO. Try a stiffer rod with more backbone. I honestly think that the 795 is the most over rated swim bait rod available. Just because a rod is cabable of throwing a bait doesnt mean it will deliver when you try to work a bait or god forbid, set the hook. I've lost several fish on my 795 because when I lean on it there isnt anything there. It may be ok for a close strike on a trebel hook bait, but for a jig hook I would definitely look for something more meaty. Take it for what its worth, but I've fished both G1 and G2 795's with the same result.
  2. Gnarley!I like it! Although I dont know either party its refreshing to see somebody drop the PC bullcrap and call a spade a spade.
  3. Pulled this trick 5-26-2010 at around 1:45 PM. In an effort to keep it real, i figure she weighed around 1.5lbs
  4. Hit up user MXMECHANIC on this forum. He makes pretty sano boxes that hold hard or soft baits and his prices are reasonable. Here is a link to one of his boxes on eBay. Last time I checked, he also sells just the rod for less $. http://cgi.ebay.com/Swimbait-Storage-Bo ... 20b28bb8a7

    Spawn

Dont like it. Primarily because of all of the dick-knuckles you never see all year that come out of the woodwork and act like they own the lake. When I was up in the Bay Area the spawn was prime time for the meat fisherman to catch that nights dinner special. Every year fishing got worse and worse until the DFG closed the area for Salmon rehab or some bullcrap. Anyways, just my opinion.
  6. I'd love to have the top eyelet on the BA for trolling duty. Teethmarks on top of the bait when the hooks are on the bottom gets discouraging.
