    Gopro hero 3!!

Bastards! I just got my 2 -Ali
  4. I've been on a spotted bass kick recently but the wakebait bite is tough these days. I had twelve bites and one fish. Here is the last 2.5 minutes before one finally stuck. -Ali

    Hello SU

Jojo with a beast! Thanks for showing us how it's done. -Ali
  6. You are an animal Micah! Very nice to make every minute count. -Ali
  7. Boy did it come in "handy" today (pardon the pun). SpongeBob lost an arm and the 3:16 glue saved the day.
  8. I dunno.... I see a glimmer of a smile in every one of those pics Great pics man! Love the night time shots of the fish. -Ali
  9. It is definitely a confidence issue. Watching that tail barely wag on a standard 6" makes me doubt its effectiveness. The 68 however looks awesome in the water Both have worked equally well for me but the first time I saw the 68, I got rid of all my standard 6" baits. -Ali
  10. Ken filled a desire not a need with the 68. His concept of a great swimbait is a bait that puts out a vortex but is subtle at the same time. It's a fine line and his original 6" and 8" baits met that need. The results speak for themselves. Then he heard of people taking the tail from an 8" bait and putting it on a 6" and he decided to get in on the market. I am not sure the 68 is that much more effective than the original 6". I guess time will tell. -Ali
  11. Yep... that's it. They don't hit it in the head like they would with the hudd. The action of the bait causes them to react differently to it. -Ali
  12. Same fish, I think people punctuate differently. 10 lbs 4 oz is 10.25 lbs... his fish was actually 10.27 lbs which is slightly greater but very close. What an awesome spot. I just want one over 6. -Ali
  13. Don @ Swimbait City is always a pleasure to deal with and a lot of times he'll help you get hard to find baits. Great guy to deal with. -Ali
  14. Sit down and talk to Jerry Rago for 15 minutes about what happened with Bill and Spro and you'll throw all your knock-offs in the garbage. Don Osborne is selling the 8" and 10" tools in both floating and slow sink. No excuse about lack of availability and they last a lifetime. -Ali
  15. Lead will deaden the action of the slammer and the action is what makes the bait so special. You could do what the crank-baiters in the Delta do which is get down and crank with 3-5' of the rod in the water. -Ali
  16. I'm loving the dog pics! Turner and Hooch was afavorite of mine also -Ali

    HAHAHAHAHAHAH

After a long and horrible week at work that made my day. Freaking hysterical! I love the sweatshirt too. -Ali
  18. speed nailed it! They just mill around because they don't understand the concept of being in a big lake yet. A bunch are also dazed and confused and meander very slowly around and those get picked off quickly by the cormorants and other predators. Someone once told me that the DFG puts a sedative in the water to keep the fish from freaking out. Sometimes they put too much and those are the magical days when the fishing gets real good because the trout are all loopy and the bass can't help but gorge on them. I've only seen this once but I remember that the cormorants ate so much trout that they couldn't fly away as you came up on them with your boat. -Ali
  19. Like Ceaser said you can work it however you like and it will catch fish. But you will have to play with the presentation some days to get the fish to react. Some days they just want it sitting there, some days burned underwater, and some days just the normal retrieve like you would a buzzbait. If one retrieve isn't getting you strikes, try something else. You may also have to think outside the box. One day I was cranking mine down and my phone rang. As I answered my phone, my Jr. came floating up and then it got hammered a second later. That turned out to be a good pattern for that morning. Good luck out there, -Ali
  20. Thanks everyone and thanks Geoff for the prize. Super stoked to have a reel serviced by a pro instead of mutilating them myself -Ali
  21. Thanks everyone! That fish was caught on Mojo-Jojo - The Bass Jr that Jonel sold me and now bears his name Yes, it seemed crazy at the time but I've gotten some great footage on it and well worth the money. -Ali
  22. This was too good to pass up. Here is my entry: -Ali
  23. I used to fish with these dudes when I was a kid and they were just a local band. Super cool dudes and great fishermen. I have seen bass in the Ca Delta chomp down on red-winged blackbirds. I have also seen them in my local pond go to town on a string of ducklings swimming behind their mothers. So I think rats, snakes, frogs, and anything else that is unfortunate enough to find its way on or in the water is fair game for the bass to try to eat. Rat baits are something that the bass have never seen in most bodies of water I fish. So as soon as the bait hits the water, they rush over to see what is going on. Then I work it the same way as Wayne described. Fun as hell and very productive. -Ali
