  1. I was just saying it is a big state and not all sunshine and bikini's. A five pounder is a five pounder no matter where you live, still a great fish. Mass produced a big fish so can you. Off original topic, my bad
  2. I wasn't doggin five lbers I just don't take a picture of one all the time. To put it into perspective the difference between my house and LA is about 5 states in your neck of the woods. So your equation doesn't really make sense. Not everybody who lives in cali wears Ed Hardy t-shirts when they are fishing. We have to drive two hours just to get to a decent piece of water, four hours to clear lake. Worst place to live being a bass fisherman.
  3. Wow... Nico just ruined everybodies ego!!!
  4. wierd huh... I noticed that too. Hopefully he comes back soon. I know I would like to hear what he has to say rather than some controversial comments. He's one of the few that are really out there catching fish with frequency AND willing to talk about it. Don't even know you guys but hopefully you can figure it out. I'd post a pic to prove I have caught a fish on a swimbait but I am still to dumb to figure it out. I really don't have all that many because I as well don't take pictures of five pounders! Just keeping it real... Chris

    Spawn

As far as harassing spawners goes Bronzefly is right. If you fish the bank in the spring you are going to catch some spawners. Even if you are fishing deeper water. On a clear water spring i have seen fish spawning on clear lake where you would not expect them. As far as sight fishing goes it sure is hard not to throw at fish you can see, but I don't have the patience to do it for to long. Fisheries have survived so far, although in urban areas with lots of meat fishermen it must be really hard to see stringers of big bed fish.
  6. Snaps sure are convienent when in search mode and trying a variety of hard baits, but I still haven't tested a big fish using one. Bill Semientel has an interesting theory on knot wear and how useing a snap eleminates it. I have not used snaps much in the last few years because I can't put the rising son down! There definetly is something to what Seth was talking about with the body roll. I know because he was smoking me! Need to test the theory with a hudd this spring!
