  2. Way to kick butt Gary, he runs a first class show. Thanks for all of your help in the past Gary, I hope this will all work out and this young man learns his lesson so he does not make these mistakes later on in life. Gary is a kick butt moderator and helps make the BBC a great site to buy and trade on.
  3. I am looking for a used Rago Glideator, first choice being Kokanee, second choice trout. Let me know if you have one and what you are willing to let it go for. It will have to be one that has had the tail fixed or with the new tail. You can email me and send pics to trentgreer@att.net. I have brand new 8" Hudds or cash if you have one let's work something out . I will only trade with someone who has a good rep on forums. Thanks for looking.

  6. Awesome day Don and I love the comments at the end of your video, the man has his priorities straight. I don't know how you could have slept that night or how you plan to sleep the night before your next outing. Get some sleep Don I know that I would need it if I were you. May your hot streak continue and congratulations on your PB.
  7. That is an amazing story, way to go GMAN. I love the fact that he did not even leave his name. He was giving a gift in secret just like in Matthew 6:3-4 But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. May God bless the GMAN.
  8. Will go 60.00 on the Blk/Blu Baby wake if it is not spoken for.

I have some truth of my Posted: Thu Mar 03, 2011 1:14 am Keeper Joined: Tue Dec 14, 2010 11:43 pm Posts: 132 Hi Don I do not know who you are talking about and I am not going to judge him but I feel your pain. I quit fishing tournaments because even my partners were back stabbers. I lost tons of sleep over it and was mad as hell. If you can not trust your partner then who can you trust. It was never about the money but time on the water with friends and I enjoyed the competition. I have learned one thing about all of this "it's not about the fish". Through all of my bad experiences I never wanted to fish a tournament again. People were willing to cut your throat over pride and money and a silly green fish so they could talk on a little microphone and tell everybody how good they are. I was tired of people pulling up right on me where I could cast in their boats. I had one guy in a night tournament blaze through a 5mph Zone at Don Pedro on the outside of moccasin and ran all the way back in almost to the launch ramp and drop his boat down on the point I was within casting distance of. I could have threw my jig and hit him in the head. Needless to say he caught the fish that I needed a 3.5lb. He threatened me and wanted to fight me but that is just not me. This same guy followed Tom who used to own the store at New melones because tom had been winning all the tournaments on Don Pedro with huge limits back in the 90s. He pulled right up on him and told him he would never fish the spot against him. He asked Tom for advice about the spot and watched him all day. Tom blew the tournament away and there was a tournament the following day and do I even need to say what happened. This guy had a very fast boat and blew Tom away got to the spot before him, When Tom got there he let it go and went somewhere and this guy won the tournament. I respect Tom for that. Anyway if I can give you one peace of advice Bro let it go forgive these guys it is not worth it. Needless to say after being burned on the water one to many times I hung up the tourney fishing. I also could no longer find peace in fishing like I had before and that is when I gave my heart to God and that is when he gave me back fishing and the passion I had for it. He gave me the ability to forgive these guys so that I could have peace in my heart. If you want to have peace in your heart you got to let go of the hate and bitterness. Now I can take a few minutes to enjoy the scenery which I never cared about before it was only about those little green fish. If you look up to man you are going to be let down but if you look up to God instead Don he will always be there for you bro and all of the honey water is his but He would love to share it with you. Take care and God Bless Don I hope only the best for you sorry if this offends anyone but life is to short man I just want Don to have that passion for the water again that I had and lost and I just wanted to let him know I found it again. _________________ Just remember it's not about the fish but they are sure fun to catch.
  10. Sorry for the loss of such a young man. May God help their family cope with the loss of Jason. Prayers are going out right now. Sounds like a good friend of yours I am sorry for your loss also. Good friends are so hard to come by now days hang in there bro.
  11. Merry "Christ"-mas and yes I will never forget the reason for this day as He is the reason I live and breathe. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me . I once was lost but now i'm found , I once was blind but now I can see. Christ is the reason for the season and the true meaning of what "Christ"-mas is all about. May God Bless all of you this "Christ"-mas, and may you all have a great New Year to come. Just remember it's not about the fish, but man they are sure fun to catch.
  12. Way to go Jared and glad to hear that you got your priorities straight. Remember it's not about those little green fish, but man are they fun to catch.
  13. Welcome to my addiction friend. I believe that I spend more money setting home on a Saturday looking for baits, poles, reels, and deals than I do spending a day on the water. I am in need of an intervention but nobody in my family can stand me so they could care less. They say your boat is a money pit well you have to take it out first. After all the money I have spent on fishing stuff who can afford to fish. I have one hell of a lineup of rods and reels but I can't afford to put gas in the boat, let alone entry fee to the lake. Anybody got gas money and entry fee give me a call otherwise I guess I will be stuck at home casting to the cats across the street trying to get some action on my line. Good luck with your addiction Mike I hope you can handle it better than myself.
  14. I will take it off of your hands if I am first please.
  15. My bad I want the slow sink that I posted on swimbait nation also.not the floater.
  16. I will take it off of your hands if the guy who asked the question before me does not want it.
  17. You're a 19 year old kid. You're critically wounded and dying in The jungle somewhere in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam .. It's November 11, 1967. LZ (landing zone) X-ray. Your unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense from 100 yards away, that your CO (commanding officer) has ordered the MedEvac helicopters to stop coming in. You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out. Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day. Then - over the machine gun noise - you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter. You look up to see a Huey coming in. But.. It doesn't seem real because no MedEvac markings are on it. Captain Ed Freeman is coming in for you. He's not MedEvac so it's not his job, but he heard the radio call and decided he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway. Even after the MedEvacs were ordered not to come. He's coming anyway. And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 3 of you at a time on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses and safety. And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times!! Until all the wounded were out. No one knew until the mission was over that the Captain had been hit 4 times in the legs and left arm. He took 29 of you and your buddies out that day. Some would not have made it without the Captain and his Huey. Medal of Honor Recipient, Captain Ed Freeman, United States Air Force, died last Wednesday at the age of 70, in Boise, Idaho May God Bless and Rest His Soul. I bet you didn't hear about this hero's passing, but we've sure seen a whole bunch about Lindsay Lohan, Tiger Woods and the bickering of congress over Health Reform. Medal of Honor Winner Captain Ed Freeman Shame on the media !!! Now... YOU pass this along. Honor this real hero. Please.
  18. I want to thank the men and women form the bottom of my heart who went through hell while serving during war times and may still be going through hell today. War is hell it has been said but until you truly experience it you will never fully comprehend what this means I believe. I have come to understand that when Veterans came home from Vietnam that they were treated like harshly. I am from California and I understand that when the men came home from Vietnam that they were welcomed home with bags of dog ish being thrown at them. They were called baby killers etc. I learned this from a movie I watched called ( Some Call Them Baby Killers We Call Them Heroes) And you are heroes because you did what you were told to do putting your life on the line and you did not run off to Canada. This movie reminded me the price that men are still paying today with the war that is going on in the minds of Vets who had to see and do things that no one should have had to see or do. I pray that God will bring peace to these men and help them to deal with the loss of their friends and why it was not them instead. I just wanted Vets out there to know there are people out there who truly appreciate all that you have done and been through and recognize the fact that we still need to be praying for our Veterans today who still do not know what it is to get a good nights sleep. May God bring to you a peace that truly passes all of your understanding.
  19. John 15:13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
  20. May God bless our vets and those still serving in harms way to keep us safe. Veterans Day is a day to give thanks for men and women who were and are willing to put themselves in harms way to keep our Country Free. It is a day that should call us to pray for the ones still putting their lives on the line for our Country . We have many Vets that are home now but struggling to come to terms with what they had to see and do while again fighting for are freedom. There are Vets that have payed a high price and will physically and mentally never be the same again. There are families that have lost their loved ones that we need to thank, encourage, and pray for. There were Vets that came home from Vietnam injured only to be called baby killers and murderers and to me they were heroes fighting for our Country. If you know someone that has served or is serving I would encourage you to thank them for there service and keep them in your prayers. If there are any Vets that belong to this site or just happen to come across this site I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service. May God Bless you and may God continue to bless the United States of America.
