Why hang hard baits? They are going to swing around and rub/wear on each other in the boat or truck. That type of storage is to hang soft baits and keep the tails/bodies from developing bends/kinks. For hard baits that is alot of air/dead space, could fit 4-5X more baits in that box if you just laid them in there with hook covers.

The boga grip is very accurate, but you need to read the thing for accuracy if you want an accurate weight. The weight is the not the biggest number you see on the scale, the weight is the number associate with the line the scale is drawn down to. I use the boga to see if the fish made the DD cut, then onto a berkeley digital to get exact #/oz weight. I can call the weight within 1/10 of a pound from the boga... it is dead on. Nice thing about a boga is it always works, no batteries to run out or electronics to fail.

I don't sight/bed fish .... But I do know that they eat swimbaits!!! I have caught bloody tail fish on wakebaits and topwater. Red eyes mean bed fish????? Huh? That is false. The hudd is a top bed fishing bait. Fishing is 99% Indian, 1% arrow. Some think it's 99% Internet research, 1% time on the water.

Don - I know it's hard but you shouldn't take it so personally. I don't know you or the other guys you're talking about. I know I have been on the receiving end of that kind of behavior though, and it can really piss people off, myself included. I have ended friendships over this kind of stuff, years later I wondered if I should have put friendships before fish, or maybe just not got so worked up over it. Nah the fish come first and way more important than friendships!! hahah That is how hardcore addicted anglers are - they put fishing ahead of their families, friends, etc... I have almost ended up in divorce court several times from fishing, and have almost lost jobs because of fishing! Where do friends fit into that puzzle? "Friends" come and go, and it sounds like you did not really know these guys in the first place.... did you think maybe those guys just decided they didn't want to fish with you anymore? Maybe they didn't like being in the boat with you (I don't know just throwing out guesses here)...but they sure liked your fishing spot!! I just think you should move on, you learned your lesson, adjust YOUR behavior moving forward, because I don't see what the other guys did as wrong necessarily, you don't own the water once you give it to them!! Some people care more about catching big bass than they do the feelings of others.
