Went out fishing with dad this weekend, took a road trip a couple lakes we'd never been to. First lake was too crowded for our taste so we only hung there for a couple hours then headed to the next lake, hoping we could find a little shore to ourselves. The second lake was almost deserted so we had our choice, picked an area with a nice steep bank and a little protection from the wind. Dad starts picking off small trout, sunfish and catfish right off the bat while I'm chucking various big baits up and down the bank (bbz1s, & slammers) with only 1 follow to show for a couple hours of chucking. I tied on my large rising son (had never used it before) and 3 casts later i stuck my 1st swimbait fish and a PB (no scale and not going to guess). Needless to say, i left my other rods over by dad and continued to work the bank with the rising son, about an hour later i was rewarded with my 2nd swimbait fish and another PB (again no scale, but there was no question).
Sorry for the photo quality, pics of the first fish are from my dad's super crappy cell camera (left my phone in the truck) and the second are from my slightly less crappy cell camera.
