  1. I am no longer painting the Hudds, the fumes, prep and expense just made it not worth it for me. You certainly can play with the 3:16 soft glue to do some little custom touches as it has the right chemistry to hold onto the bait. I highly recommend you guys put the pressure on Ken to release more summer colors. It would be nice to have some more options on the big fish catchinest bait of all time. Brock is the only source I know that will mess with em'...god bless him. JK
  2. But I did manage one on a glide bait. One of those deals where you feel like the night was a bust then you make a few more 'desperation' casts and you get your sanity back in the form of a fish. Fish hit in less than a foot of water. Fish went about 6 and very unusual for here...had the length of a 10lber and kinda thin....not the norm but I'll take it...hahahahhahah JK
  3. You come at me like that in person if you want to get all bucked up. Its the future of your account....I see its future...POOF..... JK
  4. Who is this douche bag?? Just quit crying- learn how to spell, buy baits like everyone else and catch some fish. If your so concerned with guys making bulletproof baits you can cast into cement walls then make your own thats indestructable and still buoyant......if you crash your car into a wall is it going to look the same? Come back to reality and get off your high horse. You really think a guy that can sell a bait for $199 site unseen and sell out in minutes needs to send you a free bait to prove something? Or earn your business? Yeah noones losing any sleep. Your like a 3 year old that ran into someones backyard and knocked a wasp nest down and now your saying, " I dare you to sting me?" It is entertaining though. Good luck with that. JK
  5. Nice job man, I once held the title of ninja but you've got the fish to back it up right now so its all yours. Diggin' your style on the pics...you got style. Good job. JK
  6. 'Good job Donfather....I knew something was coming because anytime you are silent for a few then WHAM you step up and slam everyone back down to earth. It is fun when you can afford to switch lures and still get bit'...sounds like they were on the chew for a bit'. You da' man with the wings..hahhahahhaa JK
  7. Paint is fun. I'm sure any good lure will catch them regardless of the finish. I bet you a lot of baitmakers catch plenty on their raw urethane blanks right out of the mold. Its the most durable paint scheme going. I'm conflicted as everyone because although I believe color doesn't matter I still have my favorites for different situations and everyone I talk to seems to be the same. We say it doesn't matter but we still make choices on what we want to fish and thats fun. Perhaps someday a color so powerfully attractive will be stumbled on that will make all other colors obsolete but I sure agree that its 99.99999 percent action and profile. There's still that .1111 percent to consider though.... I remember meeting Allan Cole 15 years or more ago late one night fishing at Silverwood. He rolled up on a bike and looked at me throwing a shad pattern mini ac plug. He said, "You need to throw the big ones 9 or 12 inchers...your wasting your time right now these fish want trout". I said "trout pattern" and he said, "Color don't matter". I never forgot that and I believe he's right. I still fish trout patterns when there's trout in the water. Makies me happy. JK
  8. I'd agree with this for my tastes as well. If you can comfortably cast and handle fish then its somewhat a matter of preference I suppose. Although I threw one on someones production XH and it seemed great too....these rods all have overlaps in there lure handling specs. I'm a generalist and throw lots of baits on one rod...some guys are specialists and find rods with absolute sweet spots for a given bait. JK
  9. Sorry Geoff, I had no idea. Thank you btw for the mobile reel service you did to keep me in action. Quality customer service right there. JK
  10. Definitely enjoyed the quality video and fish catching. I'm diggin' the camera angle. Your setup real nice to capture some great footage. Nice job. JK
  11. Bait is sold. Thanks guys, that may have been a new speed round record...hahahahha. Thanks for looking. JK
  12. Got a BA ARM white waking model. The setup on this is with the bill at nearly 90 degrees (straight up and down) and is designed to run on top slow or fast. I believe its from the last release of ARMS that Mickey did the special build for members of the site. Bait is 8/10 with some mild hook rash (only into the clear coat) and one little ding on the tail. Everything is stock including the hooks. First $150 plus $5.00 shipping takes it PAYPAL only please. Thanks. JK

    Know what I love?

Good job G....you are back in the groove man. Time for me to get serious and step up. Beautiful fish...love the big "googoo" eyes. Keep sticken' em' buddy. JK
  14. Hey man, you keep gettin' bit' the way you have been you'll come up with a giant soon. Nice fish though. Are fish, when you can get one are the opposite...small mouths and big bodies. I notice your getting more consistent lately so that inspires me to go out and do the same. Nice job. JK
  15. Thats a nice looking fish Dave. I'm curious how you were running the bait when it got hit...slow, medium, jerks??? Apparently the bait is good enough to get bit'. Good job man. JK
  16. Thanks John. Now I just need to put the time in with your Killa Gill. We can't give away our spots, so the ground is the best background. I feel ya man. The crazy thing is guys will even analyze the ground shots and sometimes figure out where it is. JK
  17. Good job man, I think your absolutely right....its starting but will still peak in July/August. I like your photographing style....it looks familiar Good job man. JK
  18. Too bad your not having more fun Kudos for the fish, the pic and not putting your ego before the health of our fisheries. Good stuff man. You've been stickin' em' lately...keep it up. JK
  19. Solid fish man and great pic. That looks like some serious froggin' territory....great job! JK
  20. +1 or wait till night time. +100 night time is the right time. For me rarely do I ever catch fish I can see (With a swimbait approach). I would abandoned the area and leave em' alone until conditions change. I think in most instances fish that want to eat are in a sit and wait mode or actively chasing bait. The cruisers will even follow your bait but most times they aren't serious about eating. I suppose there are always exceptions but thats been my experience. JK
  21. I'm afraid its going to be crickets on this one man. There's a lot of pressure on the city park lakes in Orange County so I don't know to many folks that will invite you to make their already tough waters tougher. The good news is that all these spots have fish in them its just a matter of putting in the time to figure out the type of bite and the time windows when they feed. Perhaps someones more generous than I am but I'm not going to hold my breathe...hahahha..good luck! JK
  22. I've seen a sand bass but thats ridiculous........hahhahahhaa....good job man! The topwater bite is really just starting to kick so its just going to get better and better as summer is approaching. JK
  23. You can't help but smile when you see someone smiling like that WTG dude. Glad you got that fish to stick. JK
  24. Thanks guys. I happened to be there when one of those "windows" of opportunity presented itself when those fish are seeing red and putting everything in their crosshairs. There is a time of the year when these local pond fish hunt bluegills with a vengeance. Trust me I don't report the days I get blanked or just a rat or two. This was an exceptional night in terms of numbers but like everyone I'm really hoping that next bite will be a DD. Take it when you can get it. Ninja style..hahahhahhaha JK
  25. Late late night wake bait session (my favorite)....no giants but the fish were on the chew and crushing the gill wake bait. Landed 15 or so and lost quite a few including a few biggies. Best action bite I've been on all year. Fish ranged from 3-7lbs....some random pics. Wake bait season has officially started.... JK
