  1. Yeah, since that was my goal was to add more clutter to the site. Thanks for the help.
  2. I am thinking about getting another swimbait set up and pretty much have the rod picked out (either Dobyns or St. Croix) and am a little stuck on which reel I should get. I will be man only through the 6 inch hudds, m.s. Slammer (7 inch), smaller rat baits, baby wakes and freestyle shads. I've been looking at the Diawa Lexa 300, Shimano Curado 300, and the Abu Revo Toro NaCl...also was thinking about the Diawa Luna but was worried about it being too much reel for the baits I will be using. Will be using 15-20 test mono for the set-up. Any help will be much appreciated.
  3. So is there an actual list for this bait or will an email be a sent out and have it be first come first serve type of deal...because if there is a list I def want to be put on it.
  4. I'm sure I'll get a lot of good laughs out of this post because I'm sure no one will ever want to part with their pats perch but I've been looking a long time for one and have no idea on how to get my hands on one so figured I would give this a shot
  5. Plan on using the 795 with 15 pound line
  6. Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it!
  7. I know these baits are hard to come by and I have been thinking about ordering a few baits but I just noticed how much the price has gone up on these baits in the past month. I understand the whole supply and demand part of a company but when I got on Roman Made's website and I saw their South bait has jumped up about 50 bucks along with their Negotiator (7 inch). Are they making their baits differently or is it really because of how popular their baits are they know people will pay the price? Also are their baits that good to pay that kind of money for them? If it was 3:16 baits I wouldn't think twice about buying them but since I am unfamiliar with Roman Made Baits any advice would be appreciated.
  8. If you go to Outdoorproshop's website, they have a picture up of the 175 and have a button you can click on so you can give them your email address so when the bait is available for buying you'll get an email from them...but other than that I keep hearing they will be available sometime mid September.
  9. Alright, thank you for the help
  10. I was just wondering if many of you guys had used this bait and if you have, how is it holding up and how's the action.
  11. Is that a channel cat? What did you catch that bad boy on?
  12. I have a Born Again (floater) in trout, a Wake Jr in perch and white, a Baby Wake in trout, and a Free Style Shad (sinking) in green. Only the Baby Wake in trout has been used but is still in great shape, all the other baits have not been. if anyone is interested in trading please message me. I'll get pictures to anyone that is interested.
  13. You are the man Mickey, love your baits and they're always worth the wait. Keep them coming man
  14. Oh, I never doubted Butch and I'm sorry if it seemed that way. I've seen all his videos and I know he knows what hes doing. I live in Missouri (bass here don't get near as big) and I'm new to swimbait fishing so I was just checking. I couldn't imagine catching a stringer like that. What he considers nothing special is what I would consider a bass of a lifetime...it's just crazy he catches fish like that on a regular bases.
  15. Thanks for the Help guys and welcome back Don...I just got Butch slapped...BIG TIME

    Bored

Not bad man, keep them coming
  17. I was going to start getting my Hudds ready by rigging them with stinger hooks. My question to you guys is what way and what should I use to rig them. I have seen the videos on youtube and was wondering which way had worked out for you guys. Is it better to use wire over braid? Should I set up the stinger hook right on the head like Butch does or should I rig it behind the top fin of the bait? I know the way that Butch rigs his Hudds are proven but I just wanted to get others opinion on how they rig it and what have the had more success with...no disrespect to Butch.
  18. Every time I went fishing last year with swimbaits I got skunked. Spent a good 4-5 hours at each outing before I sent down my swimbait set-up and went to drop-shotting. However I did have some massive blow-ups but no hook-ups. This year I hope it will be different.
  19. have any of you guys tried the shimano crucial xh for either one of those baits?
  20. alright thanks guys...looks like I'll hold off until I can afford a LDC.
  21. I'm looking to get one of my final setups for swimbaiting. I'm pretty much decided on the the rod I want (probably will go with the G-Loomis Big Bait 966, but it's either that or the Dobyns 807). I know that the Low Down Rods are top of the line but I'm only getting this set-up to throw two baits (the B.A. and 10 inch freestlye), so that's why I'm not going all out on the set-up. As far as reels go I was just wondering what you guys on here thought I should get. I know a lot of you guys talk highly on the Calcutta 300/400 TE and I even picked one up and it felt as solid as a tank. But was wondering what you guys thought about the 400 B. How well does the B series hold up to throwing the larger baits...so on. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
  22. U should make a BIG freestyle bass, like 10". U know LMV bass are cannibals! x2 on the 10" freestyle bass...that would be sick if he came out with a bass freestyle that size
  23. Where can you pick up an extension piece for the shimano swimbait rods?
  24. Silva is a beast but I agree with flaswimbaiter, I would like to see him lose just so that he can prove that he is human. Silva would def have to change weight class for him to have a chance at getting beat because if you think about it who's really left in the middleweight class left for Silva to fight. Silva and GSP would be a great fight but after Silva dropped down to 170 and if he did beat GSP, who else would there be to fight after? I think it would be interesting to see Silva move up to light heavyweight...got way more people in that weight class that could give him a better fight then in the welterweight division but that's just my opinion.
