I'm living in Santa Monica if that's more helpful. Just mapping it, it looks like Pyramid and Castaic are closest -- are either accessible from the shore? How about Casitas - fishable from shore?

I recently moved to the LA area, and I'm wondering if anyone has some recommended nearby lakes that are easily accessible by shore or have rental boats available? Not looking to steal anyone's secret spots but I've been unable to fish for the past few years and looking to get back into it. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

So I know a topic similar to this is one that other site, but it is not very helpful to me. What I am interested in is placing magnets into the back of the hudd, and specifically which magnets to use. I know some of you guys are doing this, as I've seen it in pictures. I like the idea of painting hooks to match as well and am curious what has been the most durable for those that have done this. Yeah yeah I know it probably doesn't matter but I think this set-up is very stealth and fits my nuerotic fishing style haha. If anyone is willing to give up the goods it's much appreciated. I feel like I'll get a better answer here as the other site seems to often have people talking about something they've never personally done. Thanks.

Hey All, I've been lurking around here for a while and like what I see. I hate to be annoying but I was wondering if any one has a picture or could post one of the small 3:16 rising son and a Rago SKT swimmer. If anyone has a picture of the small rising son next to another bait for comparison it would be helpful also. Thanks
