  1. Forgot to mention it has a deep spool in it, not the stock spool.
  2. I am selling a Shimano Calais 200 A casting reel with reel case and spooled with 65 pound green Power Pro braid in order to gather funds for another purchase. This reel kind of sat around this season and didn't get used much. Reel is mechanically sound and cosmetically, only has a few very small scratches hardly visible. Fishes and looks near new. Pictures below show all angles and the excellent condition of the reel. Looking to sell quick at $260 shipped with delivery confirmation. Please PM with any questions. Thanks for looking.
  3. 8" Triple Trout, Mattlures, and Black Dog GONE! 10" Triple Trout pending.
  4. I'm selling some baits that have been sitting in my bag with little use as of late: 1) 10" Scaled Hitch Triple Trout w/ upgraded Gamakatsu 3x hooks. 1) 8" Trout (Rarer pattern) Triple Trout. 1) Mattlures Tournament Dark Bass, missing 1 eye. 1) Black Dog G2 Small Shellcracker with a few paint chips. Buy the whole lot for $130 shipped. I will sell the 10" bait for $65 shipped and the 8" with the Mattlures and Shellcracker for $75 shipped. PM me with any questions. Thanks.
  5. The one I tried, the joint locks up. It will swim on a burn but on a slow retrieve, I have to snap the rod to get it to swim. x2. Noticed that a lot too. Good action ripping or twitching, but didn't slow roll too well.
  6. Hey Don, like I said, bait has a great finish and holds up well. I have had it for two months and maybe fished it for a dozen or so trips. Ill get back to you in 6 months and some cast to catch if you would like. NOT A PUN!!!!!! Had to make sure I said that so that none of the new guys bust a nut! You catch ANY swimbait fish in your new location? Hey I'm only offering that up because I know this is a cast to catch audience and the strikes this bait draws are so freaking sweet they should be shared with those missing out! You get bit right where you think you should and it still surprised me every time on how aggressive the strike was. No gentle inhale, full blown KABOOSH, make you set the hook on the reflex and miss often! Hahaha. It really is a fun bait to play with when nothin is biting! Mickey, I'm in the North East and most waters here still have 3-9 inches of ice that ain't going anywhere quick! A few smallies on 6" Triple Trouts in some smaller rivers, but nothing of size. Still waiting for spring time eagerly though! I'll do a more detailed review and submit it within the next few days in the review section.

  8. I have fished, seen, and owned many CL8 baits because a fishing store near me worked directly with him to get his baits in the shop and I have had the Baby Possum to play with for 2 months now. Not really the time of year I would prefer to throw them, especially since I moved and most bodies of water are frozen, but this bait definitely draws some aggressive strikes. To be honest, this bait is absolutely massive. Here are some pics of some common baits being dwarfed by it; 10" Triple Trout and 9" MS Slammer. This is only the BABY possum. The size above it is just freaking beastly! The bait has a very loud clack and "squeaks" when it swims along. To describe its action is difficult because it is just flat out filthy and disgusting when wet. Looks like a fat rat just swimming along and you can really play with it to make it do a lot of different things. It definitely gets noticed. You can crank it down to about 2 feet as well and it deflects off of shallow structure well with its large bill. I got bites by cranking it hard and killing it for a minute or so. They hit it on the pause. If you like rats or huge baits, than this is a must have, no question about it. The Clackin Shad is a sleeper. I have seen it since early testing for a year or so now and it just smokes them. Don't know what it is about the bait, but it is a killer bait for numbers. I would compare it to a Triple Trout in the respect that you can fish it faster and with a lot of jerks to get reaction bites, but it is a solid performing bait, as are a lot of his baits. It is a great tournament style bait and boats a lot of fish quick from what I've personally seen it do. The resin and paint he uses is unbelievable how resistant it is too. I think if more people tried out his baits, they would be quite surprised of the quality he puts into his baits for the price they're offered at. He just is new to the game and people already have picked favorites. I'll try and get some video of it soon when I can find some open water.
  9. Looking for a Calcutta B or TE in the 300 or 400 size. Have money and baits to trade. Let me know what you have and what you're looking for.
  10. I fish from a 10 foot long SINK kayak so I know exactly what you're talking about with a kayak inhibiting your ability to work baits. Standing won't help that much because standing a kayak that size is really unsafe for any periods of time, especially slinging big baits. You can stand and cast smaller baits, but leaning back for those bigger baits and having to work them standing really makes you rock back and forth and its hard to keep your balance. Hook 1 sells a pontoon kit, but I don't think that its a worthy investment. I doubt with a 9 footer that pontoons will do anything special and they will definitely slow down your rowing. If you want a kayak that won't inhibit your fishing, get a Wilderness Systems Commander 120. They are built for standing and fishing from and have what they call a captains perch which is a raised seat to elevate you and give you more room to fish while still having the comfort of sitting. Check them out. Personally, I use shorter handled rods, braid, and I fish while standing on my knees in my cockpit to work baits like Punkers or other baits that need action imparted on them. Being on my knees gives me a higher position above the kayak to work the bait than I would be sitting and a more solid casting position than standing. I fish out at Diamond Valley Lake where the winds get pretty intense and the fish love big topwater baits so I have had to figure a way around my kayaks limitations and my fishing needs and it can definitely be done with what you have if you try hard at it and change a few minute things in your style and approach.
