Haha yeah thats usually my thought looking at what people are buying! Before me and my wife got married I bought a boat and took her to a tackle shop where she saw me drop about $2,500 in one shot. I also went fishing everday for about two months. After that she said long as I never do that again she can never say I spend too much money or fish too much. I don't know if it is good or bad but I have a loving wife that supports my addiction.

If you want a rod right now under $250 I would go with a LDC production. If you can wait and save a little more I am telling you that the LDC customs are amazing. His work is insane. Pretty much anything you can dream up he can make it a reality. This will be a rod you will have the rest of your life. Belive me they are worth the money. And it helps that he is an outstanding person that will go out of his way to help people. If you are worried about bass throwing the hook with head shakes or jumping with a stiff tip as long as you grind them in they don't get a chance. This is where a stiff tip and reel torque together come into play.

I caught my PB on a swimbait and I can not put a price on that. Even the little fish get my blood pumping. When the fish smacks the bait and you set into him, that micro second when you don't know how big she is gets my heart racing like nothing else. I can't wait to get back and stick more pigs.

They don't sell 3:16 Baits at BPS . I think the one in Ontero is the only one that carries hudds.

What size hooks are on it now? 2/0s? Even 3/0s would look small on that thing its freaking HUGE and that wrap job looks sick.

Like Triv said the Xtrema 2 is nice low recoil shotgun. Have you looked at the Winchester Super X3? Out of all the shotguns I have shot it is my favorite.
