Welcome Will. I grew up in Potomac, MD and fishing the Potomac river. Love the summers where you can flip and frog all day. Virginia has some great water too...prime swimbait waters in northern/southern virginia and I would check out the reservoirs near Baltimore as well.

I have a used shimano 300 te that I bought off of Mickey a while back. I believe he said it was serviced by Geoff, Animal Reel House, before he sent it to me. I have only used it once or twice and it works fine. Has a couple dings and marks on the body. See pics. Want to trade for a used Shimano 400TE...if I can't find one I'll be open to $ offers.

The weather has been in the upper 70's/low 80's all week..w/ water temp in the low 60's. Some fish have already spawned and are guarding fry. Some are locked in on beds and others are getting ready to move onto them. The water is pretty shallow and has a ton of grass so the water seems to heat up fast. I can't complain too much about the weather down here

The 250 seems to be doing the trick ... going to keep chucking it till they tell me to stop. The fish seem to like the more erratic retrieve .. although I have caught 1 or 2 on a steady retrieve as well. I am trying to ride this bite as long as I can! This bait is definitely not too big ... had a little guy crush it today too.
