Doh! I showed up one morning to launch on the Delta and there were several guys standing on the dock looking in the water. As I put my boat in the lane next to them I saw an antena sticking up out of the water. They had submerged their whole truck.
That sucks Danny. I don't post on here much becuase I don't toss swimbaits as much as I should, just so many kinds of fish to fish for. But in my time here i have noticed you are always willing to help guys out. So PM me your address and I'll send you a small contribution toward the total you are out. Maybe several of us here can do that and make you whole.
Mike
Something on here I can actually post about with some experience I purchased a sinking Tylure Kicker Trout several years ago. First time I took it out the joint would hang up and the bait wouldn't swim. I sent it back and Tyler made me a new one. The new one swims better but still not with a real fluid motion and it has to be worked pretty fast to maintain a swiming action. The other thing I'm not particulary fond of is that is pretty hard to keep it subsurface since it has to be worked so fast to get it to swim. Most of the time it sits in my box, every now and then I pull it out and almost use it as a rip bait for spots.
Buddy and I spent the day throwing nothing but Hudds and Slammers for no bites. Things looked good to, water temp, wind, cloud cover. I'm snake bit, guess thats what I get for chasing those sturgeon for the last couple months.
Probably 50% of the time when I'm bass fishing. Much of the time I have someone else in my boat with me who doesn't have much bass experience and I'm just trying to get them on fish which makes throwing swimbaits full time tough.
Ohhhh that sucks. If its your usual lake, water levels might be far enough down by end of summer to recover it. We are really going to draw it down this year.
Just hop in the truck each morning with no plan and see where it takes you. Some of my best trips have been on audiables I called while on the way to the lake. Just go fishing and have fun, the rest is just details.
