I think its more of an issue of the tackle store wayyyyy over extending itself with swimbaits in stock. You have to face it, the swimbait community is a realitively smalll segment of the population and a tackle store can have a lot of money sitting on pegs.

Just scored a heck of a deal on some Hudds. Stopped by the Bait Barn this morning in Waterford for a soda. Always wander through the tackle becuase you never know what they are clearing out. Today I find a big box of Hudds sitting on the floor marked $10 each. I started digging and walked out with several phantom trout and hitch color 8 inchers in ROF 12. No plain rainbow colors. Lots of ROF 5s some 0s and some 16s. There were also a lot of 6 inchers in there. Thought I would pass it on for any of the guys in the area that need some.

I played with them at New Melones this winter, thought they would kill the spotted bass. I'll tell you one thing, they are a snaggy SOB! They reach out and grab every tree limb, piece of brush or rock. Since the baits are attached by swivels the baits roll over as soon as they hit a piece of wood and hang up. They will have their place, just need to find it.

When I showed her my Cl8 Possum she asked if it had a wallet in its mouth when she saw the black bill. "Yes honey it does, that's where all of daddy's money goes"

Starting her young. Pretty soon you will be bidding against her for baits.

Not arguing that Speed. Some of my most epic days have been in the rain. Just have to work at keeping the hands warm. Those little slip on reel handle do dads help a lot too.

Fishing in a heavy rain can really lead to dropped rods, both during hooksets and when casting. Hands get cold and slippery. Good thing you didn't loose the rod.

Nice Don. Did BPS cut you a deal for jerking your around on your trolling motor cables?

Been there and done that. I hit a home run with mine. Sometime you just gotta decompress.
