I am letting go of some baits I just do not throw enough to keep. I have a lightly used Mattlures U2 Gill with the boot tail. This bait is in perfect condition and in the "Male Gill" pattern. I have two Mattlures U2 Gills with the flat tails. One "Male Gill" one "Female Gill". Not sure if I have ever thrown them. Maybe once a while ago. I also have a Spro 8" BBZ-1 in Trout (Slow Sink) that I have only thrown once. I just was not feeling the bait. Looking for $60 shipped for all four baits. Thank you for looking. -Steven

Sending some your way. Thank you for not asking for "Swag"

If you have a forest adventure pass, you can drive up and access the upper lake through the forest. Should help you get back into some of those hard to reach areas. The lagoon has great shore fishing too. Enjoy your trip and post up some pics!

You are correct about all of the So Cal lakes being tough but I would argue that ol BB would not do any better than anyone else at the main lake. He knows how to fish a Hudd, that's a given. But I have been to Castaic countless times over the years and I have yet to see his boat anywhere besides that lagoon. As much as I hate to admit it, I've seen Bill Semenlips at all of the aforementioned lakes more than anyone else. All of that being said, back to PTR's question. If I were you, I'd take my swimbaits and cruise to Silverwood. Plenty of shoreline access, plenty of big fish, and best of all it is just down the 15 from you. That's because his little boat is only for the goon, almost everything else is fished in the ranger.

PSA: TO ALL NEWBIES AND YOUNG SWIMBAITERS.....:

I wish all the other forums I'm on had a post like this. -
Can't decide between a Curado 300e or Calcutta 3 or 400B. For throwing 8" hudds, 9" punkers, and hopefully some 3:16 hardbaits. What are my brothers getting with their returns?

Were there any others aside from this one?

Don, How did you make the mounting bracket for the deck lid? Just bent some sheet metal?

As the title states I have a mint condition Loomis 955 Swimbait rod and a calcutta 400. The calcutta has rash on it, 80# braid, and just serviced internals. -$100 Shipped/ trade value. The Loomis: $175 + shipping $200 trade value. I would like a mag heavy hudd rod. Something like a Dobyns 807, LDC, or some Phenix Ultra SB or MBX models. Calcutta B and TE's are a plus.

May I have a PM as well, please? -
What's an LDC go for new? I've only seen used ones on the Black Market for $300+ Just curious, ballpark? If you can't say, it's all good I understand. One day, I'll have my own on its way.

It's not as bad as you may think. When selecting your tube, keep in mind that the higher out of the water you sit, the easier casting and setting the hook will be.

Boat Owners out there. Need recommendations!

I love our Nitro Z-7. It does everything we need it too, comfy, rides well, wide deck, plenty of storage, and fits in the budget we were looking for at $325/month. -
