  1. Who cares..if you like the bait fish it...or buy both and decide for yourself. The ONE fact that he posed with a DWR shocked fish and try to play it off speaks for itself. Dude is a TOOL period. As you guys get older, I would say +40, you learn what integrity is and try to live by it. Not always easy. Those of you that live that way earlier ought to be proud of yourself.
  2. I pinch the barbs down when trophy trout fishing and it helps a lot. The skin on a trout is tough...very hard to get barbs out. I wouldn't change to single hook, would be a drag if that trophy didn't get stuck...but that is my opinion. Where are you headed?
  3. Killer price on the rat...free bump.
  4. That is awesome. They say 15 minutes and they're ready to eat again.
  5. #buffie...the new rage
  6. Integrity......course it leaves you with minimal bait choices in this game.
  7. Yeah Wayne, try to catch more than 4 fish this year..lmfao. I think we should have an under 18, punkass section for SU.
  8. ^^^^^ That fish is waaaaaay to big for buff selfies ^^^^^^^
  9. Now you know where the big fish winter and what path they take to prespawn...guaranteed there are more than that one. Cool stuff.
  10. Very nice and RARE fish. I can only imagine the other dudes shaking their heads when you released those. Nice job....the big calicos are very old fish. Good to see catch and release of BIG fish is going on...was unheard of in the 80's.
  11. I have used the 44mag for three years...and a plug knocker for a long time. The orange hound dog you can get from tackle warehouse..and I advise getting one of each. The small for 6-8 inch baits and the 44 for the bigger baits. Most of the time all you need to do is bump the bait the opposite way you came into the snag. On big baits you need that extra weight of the 44. Let the knocker go down and hit the bait...once it gets to the bait let both have slack at the same time and most of the time it comes free. On more than one occasion in rock I've have to use one knocker to free the other knocker that has become stuck. I've lost two Hudds in the past three years...that's it, and one was my fault letting the flouro sink too long and it got hung in sharp rocks. The chains help in wood and I don't think hinder in rock....broke one chain off in rock. If your worried order one of each and use accordingly. For 50 bucks your set. I've saved thousands in baits...I have no doubt. But MOST importantly once you get the confidence of knowing you can get any bait back..it allows you to fish stuff you would normally never fish for fear of losing baits. Rock dams are full of big fish and I have no fear of bottom dragging any bait(top hook or bottom hook) across them. Big wood is harder to get baits back from but if you have a little patience and give it time you can get them back. Reaction bait/hard bait guys know if you can deflect and bump it's money....no more fishing the upper water column.
  12. You should take these guys up on the offers...you will learn more in a day than you would by yourself in a year. Being in Utah we have the same northern fish..just different forage. No bait is too big..well, the new 13"ers are overkill in my opinion. The 807 is a perfect Hudd rod..great choice...awesome warranty and customer service. The 867 is a tad more parabolic and your gaining 3-4 inches in the butt end..not the tip.
  13. ^^^^Your best post yet^^^^ Both of you guys just keep doing what your doing...us lesser gods appreciate the ride.
  14. If your going to bed fish there are a lot better methods than swimbaits. Catching bed fish on swimbaits just to say your catching "swimbait" fish is the lamest thing I've ever heard. Fish deeper doing the same as prespawn...not all of them will be on beds at the same time.
  15. ....and the fish porn. That last picture is one of the best I've seen....beautiful.
  16. What...no Hudd 68 pics?..or is it retired? Stay on em...
  17. Oh god...well at least there not orange.
  18. Great point. Didn't realize it was THAT popular in the Cali lakes.
  19. Invest in a couple lure retrievers..pays for themselves first trip out. You become not afraid of fishing the bottom..whatever it is. I use the Hound Dog for small baits and the 44 Magnum for large baits. Lost two Hudds since...and one was my fault by letting the line sink too long and it got hung in sharp rocks..disadvantage of using flouro.
  20. I've started using them in the last year and have to admit they make life easier. But then again I fish out of cardboard boxes stuffed under the consoles.
  21. Haha, agreed! Luckily where I'm at most all people still think "swimbaits" are Money Minnows or Skinny Dippers Come on out and show us boys Ha...the only thing I can do is give casting lessons.
  22. Perks of living in any non-Cali state. No buffs, no custom bonnets, no drama....but hey, your Cali lakes have DD's every cast though.
  23. What the hell are tito's? Have I been in Utah too long?
  24. That's some Jedi ish right there...calling the money cast. Good times.
  25. People have been "juggling" fish ever since tournaments have been around. Nothing new. Lots of money to be made..and ego gratification. It will never change.
