We drove up from canyon lake.(Rivreside). Blew out a tire on the boat trailer on the way up, took about 3 hours out of our planed time. 13 hours up with aprox 3 hours side track, and 2 new tires later. Home took us about 9.5 hours.

Did that trip June of last year from So. Cal. Took the 5 to the 20 and it was an easy drive. Just long! The 20 is way better than Ortega or Big bear roads. It is a bit windy and has some hills but the curves are not very tight and there are plenty of passing lanes and turn outs. The scenery through there is cool also. I was pulling a 17.5’ triton with a ford ranger and it did just fine. Stayed at Konocti Casino and left the boat on the docks for 5 days with no problems. Just remove any valuables. They have working power on most docks to charge your trolling motor so bring an extension cord. Also the launch ramp is tight. If you have a hard time backing a boat into the water it might take you a while.

I have had a Berkley boga grip digi scale for about 4 years now. Works great 4 me and easy to use. Turns off when not in use. Scale may be off by 3. OZ at times.. I weigh the fish 3 times. (Reviveing the fish in the water between each one) If the fish is worth weighing in the first place. Then take the mid weight of the 3. Just what I do! Sad thing/or maby good thing is, in 4 years I have only had to change the 9V twice.

Still did better than me - two busted rods (broken guides) and a swim in the lake to get a cast-off lure. That sucks, glad you got the bait back and hope the rods can be fixed!! I do not like the code " SNAP " Don't seem right!!
