Btw, as a testament to the Phenix 790h...

Swimbait Underground. Where it's not OK to recommend a rod when you only have 5 posts, but it's encouraged to recommend an LDC when you only have 5 fish.
-
Damn, and to think that this rod was built in the early 90's.

I don't think Don would like the results from which of my rods is better quality out of my 790h and my ldc prod.

Nice one! that bait is one of the good ones. I kick myself in the ass all the time for getting rid of it haha. Thing has some serious mojo.

Praying that they take the tourney thread and use it to thin the herd.

Which was surprisingly similar to Adam Cargill's rods, which were surprisingly similar to EVERY other custom tod. Pretty sure that swimbo was adamant against people dropping a bait into a mold and calling it their own. Pick up any custom rod and you will see differences in craftsmanship. Everything from hand contoured grips to eyelet spacing, to choice of blanks.

Fall wake bite is really picking up, and for me it usually lasts until the water hits around 48-50. I just have to slow my retrieve as the water gets colder. Don't be afraid to get out and throw them at night. I catch a lot of fish paralleling structure, grass, dam walls, etc. A little chop on the surface, and a slow steady retrieve should do the trick. Also, if you see fish during the day, go back at night and try again or even just toss your bait out where the dish came from and let it float (dead sticking). I stuck a 7-4 not too long ago dead sticking a wake next to a grass line.

Sweet fish too!

Jun is only half a man, so it is even more important hahahaha

Do stripers count? Because they will eat anything.

let me tell you how this plays out... you may or may not catch a fish on a duck chew toy, but that was just your dad's way of telling you that he isn't buying a bass boat. At a minimum, it gets you to leave him alone while you try and then when you catch one he laughs at you and tells you to buy your own. classic. lol
