    I noticed the glowing eyes of a Owl in a tree or pole this year, I had to cast very carefully. My local buddy told me a owl story before and I wasn't prepared to unhook a owl or go thru all that so I moved further along pretty quick.

    I do it every year in the PNW. I start throwing a Hudd hard in late February or so, first few lakes don't get stocked until mid/late March at best. When they see your bait come by #1 they are hungry as hell #2 they might mistake your bait for the stocking day. Worst thing for me catching those early fish is they are all empty belly starving NON PB's. It doesn't get good good until the female's are closer to popping.

    That's a crazy story. I've had the same osprey dive bomb my Hudd twice in 10 minutes, both times setting the hook wildly the bait slipped out of it's grasp. Never hooked a bald eagle but they are responsible for me not using a Dead Twitch much at all when I had hopes it would slay. They just can't leave it alone.
