I actually prefer the acrylic over the polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is a soft material, hence it having better energy absorbing properties for ballistic materials, race car windshields, etc., but it also scratches much easier and is harder to fabricate. Regardless, either will do the job.

Step one - remove broken bill with plyers. Step two - cut new bill out of 1/8" acrylic Step three - glue in new bill with plastic cement I've done this multiple times. Takes only a few minutes as long as you have the tools, and you can modify the bill for different action.

If I had to guess, I'd say pop the pin at the joint, drill a hole, pour desired amount of lead in hole, and reassemble. It's actually not difficult at all.

Have you tried emailing or calling? He has always been good to me. Dude has been pumping out soft baits. Understand that he is a one man show, and has made thousands of soft baits which have been selling faster than he can make them. Good problem to have. Magic Man is right though. Everyone wants the hot bait, but there are plenty of proven baits out there.
