i use them often, they are very productive for me. I usually put them on a scrounger head and fish it with a steady retrieve with a twitch here and there. I treat them like a spinnerbait retrieve.

just heard back from matt and the bill it not supposed to be removable. i guess it may have not been as NIB as i thought it was but i plan on just using epoxy and fixing it. thanks for the help guys and yes matt has really fast responses and just gained another customer or two

yea i am not 100% either that it is supposed to be removable or not. I thought i read it was. anyone have this bait please help me out before i cast it or glue it

I know it is an easy fix but i thought that the lip was removable to fish it with and without the bill. So i didnt want to have to epoxy it so it wont remove. Im just wondering if any of the other billed hardgills are that easy to remove. If so ill just eopxy it and buy a non billed version to have both

sorry if this came up in the past but i just got a new billed hardgill and i want to fish it real bad. I am just worried about the lip being lost during the cast or fight from a fish. The bill came out alot easier than I thought it would by hand and seemed like a fish could toss it with ease. anybody have issues with the bill being lost or should i jsut remove it so i dont lose it thanks

so I bought a rago injected rago rat bait a while back and while fishing it the tail ripped out if the bait. I tried to replace it with a trick worm and it worked for a few casts and fell out after no hits. What should I use to attach the worm with so it will stick for a while. I tried some basic glues and it was an epic failure. Any glue that will work or do I need to do something different. thanks

How do you guys get confidence in new baits

I had the same issue with a few baits. The way I fixed it was to leave the other baits at home on purpose. I did this with a baby wake and then it became my confidence lure and i dont throw the old ones -

ok thanks for the inputs, looks like im looking for a curado 301 now haha im a shimano guy so the toro is being considered just not as much as the curado, although i hear good things from the toro

im using sufix 832 and when in pike waters I use a small wire leader would the 201DC be a better option than the Antares? Or should I try a curado 301 instead?

first off im new to SU, i love reading the posts so far and I plan on posting some reports when I get some more swimbait fish I currently have an Antares DC that I use for swimbaits and I want to switch that reel to something else. Does anyone have experience with a Conquest 101/201DC? Should I switch to Conquest or get another Antares DC? I will be throwing baits like Jackall Mickey SR, Spro BBZ6, FS Herrings any help would be appreciated, thanks
