  1. That's my point. I hope he is "marking" them up to make a living, and a little more, otherwise what's the point, What I'm really saying is, it's not really that much. and you all could keep it between yourselves, and they will still sell out quickly. It's only a hundred or so baits. Go to any other bass fishing forum, and ask about his baits, the majority of fisherman have never heard of 3:16, baits, that is, and think swimbaits are some 4" hollow bodies that you put on an A-rig.
  2. Let's face it though, when only 100 or so baits are being released at a time, it's not like it's going to take long to sell out, no matter how many people on here know. Get back to reality, this is a really small community in the big pond of the fishing world. Not that many people know about Mickey's baits, fewer care. I'm just happy for Mickey and his family for having this all work out. I'm sure those days when he was sitting on baits for days, weeks, and months, just trying to get someone to buy one are not too far back in their memories. roughly, 10colors x 10baits= 100 baits x $200 = $20,000, for months and months, years and years of hard work, in the long run, doesn't seem like that much.
  3. That's right, everyone keep quiet...especially around the time of the baby wake release, please...LOL
  4. What do they say...Grandkids are God's reward for not killing your kids.
  5. I have tried everything.. my fingers can't take the cold like they used to.. the 3 fingers under the reel that get wet from water dripping off the spool are what pains me the most.. I have been using those Neo Sport 1.5mm wet suit gloves with cheap plastic disposable surgeon type gloves under them and fingerless gloves over them... That combo has been the best for me so far.. Yeah, my fingers are the same way, but I use a pair of neoprene gloves too, but I have cut the tip of the thumb off for spool control, and the poor guy suffers hard. Next week back up in the 50's, YAY!
  6. Okay, that's over, now let's go the complete opposite direction...when's the next baby wake release?!
  7. Designated areas only! We have beaches in Jersey that don't allow balls, or frisbees. Love what the guards say..."No surfing, No bellyboarding, No rafts, No kite flying, No frisbees, No balls, no fun!"
  8. Sometimes, calves feet, sometimes pigs feet(that's what this woman used, lots o' pig farms around)...like you said Hundreds.
  9. couldn't have been too restful...with all the tossing, turning, and those nightmares that the release happened! LOL Go fishing Vedak, time on the water is more important than any bait release!
  10. I don't head out if it's below freezing, which hasn't been too often this winter. But even when it's not freezing out, I can deal with stiff mono, ice in the guides, it's the fingers! What do you do about the fingers, more importantly, the thumb!?
  11. Great tripe recipe grizz. Back in CO I had a little Mexican market/restaurant(really just a stand, La Perdigonas, sp.?), they had the best Menudo. They would cook it all night, coming home from a late night, early morning, it would be my last stop before heading down the block to my bed. They would drop a fried egg on top. I need to pick up some tripe!
  12. Of all those color options, which one would you get(if you can get it!), and why no shad colored bait?
  13. It's snowing here...this board needs a live chat for all this small talk, and vampires...
  14. This is great...unfortuanately, it doesn't ring true(except the "more guns" part), my girls are swimbait fanatics! Good Luck Speed, hope all works out.
  15. Didn't bump up the size of the hooks?
  16. what were/are the stats on the OG wake Colby since you are familiar with it?
  17. I have an example, and was wondering what you guys think. What about the guys from The Tackle Testers on ebay, selling "Bassaholic promo packs", and baits, 3:16, and others along with a DVD for ridiculously high prices? When it comes to flipping, if your going to pay those high prices then so be it. Just not my thing. It's a free country. I don't beg, and I don't pay ridiculously high prices(can't afford to), but I have been offered baits by members here, and other sites, and they have all been really reasonable, and cool. The way fellow fisherman should be towards eachother. Remember, it's not just 3:16 baits going for inflated prices, how about Hudd 68's?!!!
  18. Mmmmmm, finger lickin' good...you're such a pornographer!
  19. LOL, I have an Ithaca Mag 10, problem with those guns, it better knock some birds down(a long way off too), at the end of the day, your shoulder pays for everyshot.
  20. Yes, those kind of shrooms, and "rams head" or "sheepsheads" or "Maitake", or more well known "Hen of the Woods"...delicious, and one of the easiest around our parts to find. I concentrate on Morels, and Chantrells though. Need a new thread...
  21. A little testimonial on Benelli, I have an original SBE, never, ever had a problem in 10 years of heavy use, with all types of loads, thousands and thousands of rounds. Just the best gun I have ever owned. What guns do the South American outfitters use? Benelli.
  22. Great reviews, tough to pick the best(such a smart product pick!)...Whens the next 3:16 Glue release?! LOL.
  23. I root for mushrooms, (chantrels, and morels, mostly,) wild ginseng, onions, wild horseradish, berries in season...oh wait! that kinda "root" , then it's the E-A-G-L-E-S, GO EAGLES!(or should I say "iggles", so you guys understand.).
  24. Good deals, those two 68's go for $40 a piece on eBay, so yeah, you were honorable and gave a fellow swimbaiter a good deal. Way to go, Karma has a way of working out.
