This is the wakebait prototype. I made five of these and they are being tested by friends. This is a bottom bait in sucker fish/carp pattern. Its weighted in the chin. It fishes like a gaint jig lol...It also has swivels on the head so the hook rotates. And a strong magnet in the head to hold the treble in place. Im still working on the first batch of protos for this bait. Pain in the butt compared to a glide bait or a wakebait...

What about aquarium tubing? The little air pump tubing that you attach the air stones too? That might work lol...

I baught some tubing from TAP plastics. Any diameter and they sell it by the foot.

took me two months to carve it out of alder. Im going to pour a mold really soon and start kickin some of these out by late next month. 9.5" and it should be around 7oz or just under when its all done. Im getting antsy...I wanna throw this thing!!!

I fish hydrilla in the delta with a mission fish. Works great!!! Sounds like you need a baby bass color lol...

I was going to hit Berressa yesterday morning but the 30mph winds kept me from doing that. My plan B was to hit the Mossdale area of the SJ river for some topwater stripers. In between cloud cover and under the train bridge. threw the mission fish and thew the slammer for nada, I got two fish on the punker. One was 4# and one was about 8#. Berry will go down next weekend wind permitting lol...

Wow, it would be really hard to say that Im not interested in testing free baits that I want to throw anyway. I think you guys are top notch for even thinkin of doing something like this. This is the best approach to Research & Developement that Ive ever heard of.... hats off!

My name is Matt. i live in the central valley of california and fish the delta and motherload region mostly. Ive been targeting big bass for about 5 years. Ive mainly thrown boot tails like hudds and mission fish, But ive recently found that i like to throw hardbaits. I lost my Mattlures bluegill last year and have yet to replace it. I throw topwater all year around on the delta. I also target stripers as well. Like I said, topwater is what I like to do. So Ive purchased a wake jr, which led me to you guys! And Im glad it did, This is a great site and an awesome bunch of sticks on one forum! Thats just kickass! So I hope to be able to give back a little of that with my membership here. Owyah..the juicy stuff lol...My pb largy is 8.4#, and my PB tuxedo is 18#, My biggest spotted bass is only 4.25# lol... Heres a few pics if I can figure out how to post them.
