    Spotfisher

Jim was very patient with some issues I was having and went out of his way to help me get a great deal on a great rod. I wish every one was this easy to do business with.
  2. I fish a lake known for some big fish, arguably the best trophy lake in ga, but after seeing guys fishing live bait on beds and keeping multiple 8+ pound fish a year I lost all interest in it. I haven't caught a sight bed fish in a couple of years now. I know the ditches and staging points these fish use and I'll be targeting them with my Rising Sons and hopefully a couple of hard baits I'll have by then.
  3. I about missed it. Review please
  4. I wasn't complaining at all. This is my first 3:16 order but I can't wait to get em. Still a little cold for the frogs but the rising sons will find there place pretty quickly
  5. I placed an order for some rising sons today and being a frog fanatic when I saw a 7 inch frog I couldnt resist. But I've heard the frogs have some durability issues and was wondering if anyone had any tips to help out.
  6. Money. I guess that ties right back in with all the other reasons you listed though. I think most guys like the idea of catching a big fish but they're not willing to commit to it and make the necessary sacrifices(money, fewer fish, the time it takes to learn to fish these baits, ect.) to do it. These are all reasons that I took my time getting into it. In fact I still haven't made a full commitment to it but I've got atleast one of these baits tied on at all times and fish them the majority of my time on the water.

    Winter Wake Jr

Awesome man. That's a confidence builder. The wake jr is now at the top of my list of baits I have to get. How deep of water were you fishing over
  8. I've only been here a little while but y'all are definately some cool dudes. I can't wait till I have the opportunity to give back.

    How far?

Thanks guys. I'm definately wanting to start throwing bigger baits but I just don't have the setup yet. It's funny how I went from not having confidence in these baits ability to catch fish to losing confidence in their ability to catch double digit fish. But I'm wanting to get a couple of hardgils, 8 inch hudds and a wake jr if I can find one. Got to save up some money first though

    How far?

Alright guys. I know there are a lot of variables but on average how far will a trophy largemouth (10 pounds or more where I am) travel to get a swimbait. I'm fishing a lake with 3-4 foot of visibility and dragging soft baits like the Hudd 68, weed less Hudd and mattlures gill on the bottom in 7-25 ft of water. I'm fishing very slowly considering the water temp is in the low 50s to upper 40s. I've had some success with fish in the 2-5 pound range but was wondering how thoroughly I need to work the points and humps I'm fishing. Do I need to cover every square foot or should I try to cast every fifteen feet and then move to the next piece of structure? I've gone through and read a lot of the previous posts and gained a lot of information already so thank you for that.
  12. Y'all are a bad influence on me. I want a Wake jr so bad after hangin around here
  13. I was fishing from the bank in 50 degree water with 35 mile per hour winds a month ago and the wind was creating mud lines that the fish were using as cover. Hudd 68 came through for me
  14. I've been throwing this bait on the days I get a chance to go and I've done really well in pretty crappy conditions just slow rolling it.
