He has a phone number listed on his website you could try. I just contacted him on FB last year when I ordered one and it got it very fast. Thanks. I don't have Facebook and I can't get his website to show anything other than a black screen and pics of slammers. I'll have to try it again later and maybe it'll load

Is mike still making these? I'm wanting to order a coup but haven't figured out how to contact him.

Thanks guys. What does the action compare to? Can you fish it like a jig or is it more of a swimming bait?

Finally got them in my cart but the sale ended before I could check out. Maybe TW will get some relatively soon

You should try rattle cans. I mix it with paint brushes as well but I'm not good enough to offer tips. I think Caesar only uses rattle cans and his baits look great.

Thin super glue will soak into the wood slightly before drying. Do this after giving the bait adequate time to dry. I use the tip of the tube of glue to spread it around. Takes a few seconds to do this and it's cheap. You can use Devcon epoxy over top of this for more durability. It's harder to find but try to use 30 minute. Make sure you mix up even amounts of part A and B. Heat it up with a hair dryer to help it go on easier as the heat causes it to thin but use the low setting so epoxy doesn't go flying everywhere. Done it. Not fun. And make sure you keep it out of the joints. It's a pain to get out. I like to let it dry for at least 12 hours. If you've coated the whole bait and put too much on it will drip. Have something to catch it. Some guys put them on lure turners but I've never worried about it. I know one guy that spends an hour per bait applying epoxy. His baits look awesome too. If you're only doing touch ups you can ignore a lot of this advice. I recommend trying it on a scrap piece of wood before you put it on your high dollar baits.

The floating hardgill has been one of my most productive baits the last couple of summers. I've been using it in heavily fished small lakes mostly and some large reservoirs. Where as I use a lot of big baits as search baits, I've been using this bait as more of target bait. I like to find bream beds and fish any kind of cover in the area. Whether it be docks, trees, a single stick or a shade pocket. My best retrieve has been very slow and steady after letting the bait sit for a few seconds. I've also caught fish dead sticking the bait over bream beds. This kind of fishing requires a lot of stealth because the fish are so shallow. It's obvious, but stay back if you're in a boat and stay out of sight if you're bank fishing. I'll often stand behind trees or make long casts parallel to the bank. As stated before, durability has been an issue on the early baits, which is what I have. I added a coat of DV2 and that seems to have helped but I've still repaired the tail multiple times. The newer ones are supposed to be much more durable and I got a slow sink from the most recent release but I haven't got to fish it yet. I will say that as good as the old paint jobs are, the new ones blow them away. The colors really pop in the sunlight. Most of the fish I've caught have been short and fat or long and extremely skinny. I dont know why this is. Most of the other fish I catch in these lakes are fat. I have pictures I planned to post but I can't seem to upload them from my phone since I updated to iOS 8

Fish in Georgia don't eat swimbaits. Especially not HPH gliding gizzards, og HPH, Triple Trouts, Hardgills or hudds

Spike-it makes a soft plastic paint. Not their dye, but an actual paint.
