The 6" tylures trout was my first swimbait and I have a couple of them. I have yet to get a fish to commit to one, but the wolf packs that followed were very sizeable fish. In my opinion, their biggest advantage is how light they are. They are can be thrown with your average crankbait rod or what have you.

I'd like to say I've never come close to hitting people in the face with a Freestyle in order to keep it away from an Osprey, but...

I think it is important that you compare reels as well. People use the Curado and other 200 sized reels with 8lb line on coho and chinook. The fish will overpower that reel's max drag and still not break the line on a good knot.

I have only used them a handful of times. I like their action, but not their castability.

When I read some reviews on the Z, they seemed to mention the lack of torque for the higehr speed SH. I have an H and hoping the slightly lower ratio will help. I haven't been able to use it yet though due to injury so it's driving me nuts. Maybe if no one has written a review down the road I will try and pitch in with more relevence haha.

There's always the off chance that you live near someone who is able to show you their set up and how it feels. If you lived in Wa I'd let you get a feel with what I use/have used.

Like everyone said, If you think you are going to eventually upgrade down the road anyways, I'd recommend LDC. You said you would throw a baby wake, but hudds as well. Are you referred to Hudd 68 or 8"? I would recommend an LDC Production H if you are using both baby wakes and 8" Hudds. I used a Loomis 955 for a couple years. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice rod still. But, it was maxed out for the 8" Hudd. The thing is you don't know what you're missing until you experience an LDC. You will save body aches, energy and be able to fish longer. It will be a much better experience over all if you go out for a long period of time.
