  1. also use those Home Depot bumpers on my putter face to dial in the putter swing........it's not pretty result most times
  2. won a few weekly jackpot tourneys back in the day with a Hudd and a BBZ, and later the 250. I was on a crazy wolfpack of fish that stayed in an area for a couple months. Fish might bite a conventional bait, but the bigger ones were on the swimbaits These days if i fish an event my partner will fish conventional and throw big.......by myself is all big baits. A number of the weekly events down here, there is a big bass threshold or 7 or 8 lbs for the BB money. if no winner it rolls over. One event got to over $2300 last year (on a like i dont fish....but was tempted to!!)
  3. Found prespawn fish hanging around a marina.......this fish would hang under the boats them come out and follow baits Threw the Hinkle Shad, OG Battles Shad, Mattlures Gill.............finally got bit on the 8 inch Tube
  4. I see a parallel between fishing with FFS and hunting. FFS is basically your eyes. You can hunt all day stalking to look for birds / deer…..doesn’t mean your going to find them or have a chance for a shot. But you don’t shoot blindly. You might hunt for days and never shoot. I’ve fished my home lake once or twice a week for 25 years. I know virtually every aspect of the lake from putting hours on the water. The FFS has shown me more about the fish movement/location in 3 months of use, than years of fishing fall patterns. I also added a new Ghost Trolling motor,,,,,,,so now I have the ability to Spot Lock…..which is way better than FFS
  5. My home lake is tough during the days of a full moon, because they are feeding at night. Some of my best days ever have been at night when the moon is so bright you could read a newspaper. Throwing a strong red pattern Slammer
  6. I installed Active Target in the fall of 2022 when I upgraded my electronics. I have yet to cast to a fish and see it hit a big bait, mainly because I’m not looking down during the cast. The AT allows me to eliminate water mainly. It’s surprising to see so many fish not relating to anything, contrary to old theories. KVD basically said the same thing. The guys targeting those giants at OH Ivey are living by forward facing sonar. It’s unlikely that anglers would ever have been offshore targeting suspended fish with A rigs with a depth finder and maybe a side scan. i do keep a crappie jig on the deck with an ultralight spinning rod for brush piles if I need some fish for tacos. The fish population in my home lake was decimated by the stocking of grass carps in 2014, to where the lake is basically a bathtub now with no vegetation for the last 6 years or so. The Active Target is allowing me to see fish (they might not be bass) which definitely keeps your attention. Lastly the Active Target is showing be how many fish are in areas that I could never get a big bait with trebles anywhere hear…….way back under docks, in the thick of a submerged tree the fish look like Christmas lights. I does allow me to throw over structure, knowing just how much I can let the bait sink without catching limbs, etc
  7. 4 hours today and hauled water, not even a follow. Congratulations to the Champion
  8. 4 hours today, caught a 3lb fish on a one- eyed Citizen 7. One more session tomorrow morning
  9. 4 hours today yielded one bite on the 250. It was one of those strikes that pulls the rod from you…..swapped out my hooks after that one
  10. Fished 8 to 12 today, 3 bites, 1 on the 250, 2 on the Hinkle Shad. No hookups though
  11. Fished 8 to noon, wake surfers took over the lake…..had 3 bites on the 250, but didn’t stick any…..geez. Be out there in the morning
  12. Fished from 9 to 4 today, one bite, but is was in the area that I caught the DD……so I got that going for me
  13. I typically use a single use QTip each time. I’ve also put a few drops of MEK in it when it starts to gel…..not perfect but adds some life
  14. Not sure why anyone would upload pictures of their bait walls. Avoid tempting a crackhead break-in
  15. if you are just starting out.....check out ebay for used GoPros I still use the Hero2 on the Yolotek mount.....no issues....but it doesn't loop I have the newer models,,,,,,just need to get them in rotation.
