The water discharge is bouyed off a good ways from the power house. Its kinda a messed up lake to fish. Yes there is a flat close. I say its messed up because of some of the rules. Like not being allowed to cast within 10' of any dock.

Thanks Chris, I will def give that a try. There is usually plenty of series at the lake I'm fishing. Supposed to be fish in the 8 to 10# range. So hoping to get the big bait bite going. They just revised the forecast. Rain Friday, into Sat now with a little warmer temps. So could be a great tourney!

Ok guys, been digging through and can't find anything. I've got my first tourney this weekend. Everyone knows the crazy weather we been having. 80 degree weather. Fish usually spawn in this lake in march. Tourney is on sat, cold front coming in on wed. From a big bait standpoint what would you do? Can't get down there early. So look for bedding fish? Or move out? Thanks for any help, Mike.

Yea, I know what you mean. I tourney fish, so you learn to do whatever it takes.

We are staying at Moores resort. I think its like 7 miles south of the dam. There are a ton of creeks close, so hopefully I can get somethin goin. I will defiantly watch for the yellow flowers. Thanks for the response guys. I will let you know how it goes.

Anybody fish Kentucky Lake with swimbaits? I'm going down there the end of may. Wondered if anyone had any tips. I know its pretty shallow, so plan to throw the wake Jr. and Hudd 68. I've never fished a big reservoir so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for replying guys. Definately want to pick up a wake, and baby wake. Looking at some triple trout on eBay also. Do I just check the 3:16 site everyday? Or is there a news letter like the hudd sight?

Could be tendenitus. If it is, dr. can give you some simple stretches to fix the problem.

Been hangin around for about a week, reading posts. Awesome site! Learning a lot. I've been fishing soft swimbaits for about a year, and doing ok. But reading all the posts and reviews, I've got the bait monkey on my back! Ready to try some hard baits. Just picked up some shellcrackers, and a punker. How often do the 3:16s get released? Any other suggestions? Thanks for any help.
