  1. ^^^ This. Backpacks the butt of the rod always seems to catch on the bag. I not a big fan of boxes for walking around and having to put it down all the time. Some places are sketchy and you don’t want to set anything down out of sight for a while. I’ve been using this bag for a while, it’s perfect. A union wrap fits perfectly and there enough small pockets to keep everything you need right there. An extra mini bag attached for more options I throw my scale in there usually
  2. Everyone needs an “Oh S#it” paddle. At least for small boats it can get you out of a jam.
  3. F5 departure series. They are 3 piece and are pretty solid. And you get a carry case for travel.
  4. Bull shad 4x4 deep. Cranks down to around 9ft.
  5. This post bums me out. first snow of the season and people already talking about ice.
  6. Crawling into another pig. Nice one
  7. Only a matter of time. Great year, great fish.
  8. Didn’t know you two were canal rats. I hate that place. Then again I suck at fishing the ditch.
  9. @abenz.fishing on Instagram. I don’t think he’s throwing big glides but he his throwing swimbaits for stripers and some big blue fish on a swimbait setup.
  10. Was fishing a slammer eel and had a guy say “ look at that ugly fu£#ing lure, good luck kid” and walk away.
  11. “I didn’t know there was pike in here” is a good one.
  12. For me I can’t go out and buy every bait to see if I like it or not. I can’t even buy the baits I WANT to try them out do to many factors(availability, hype, price, my own laziness) For me I have to do the research and find exactly what I’m looking for. Which is hard sometimes cause there’s so much out there and it’s hard to find what you like and what’s gonna fit your style. If I’m going to invest a $100, $150, $200 in your bait then I need to know a little about it. Especially with glide baits. And not just hey here’s some big fish caught by my buddies the other day. Like I want to hear bait makers talk about there bait and how to fish it and why they made it that way. I want to see a good swim video of the bait fished in different ways. Not just this quick edit burn quick pause burn stuff right into a grip and grin. I want see a nice swim video the ALL the retrieves shown. I’d like to hear the breakdown from the bait maker himself and not just some random customer doing the breakdown for them. It’s not even from the newer bait generation either. There are plenty of older “established” baits out there that I’ve been interested in but there’s not a good swim video or the only one is from a earlier proto type or just some crappy shot from the side of the boat or walking along a dock. I think Ceaser and Mike Gilbert do and excellent job of doing just that, showing the ins and outs of the bait. For me I like knowing I want that bait and not just I just “I guess I’ll check this thing out cause it looks cool” or whatever. I can see why people buy tons of baits though. Until you try it yourself and have it your hands and fish it you don’t really know right? Don’t get me wrong I have a bunch of baits. I’ve feed into the hype, we all do. But now I’m just trying to fill gaps in my arsenal for a more complete set of tools that I like to use.

  14. Great detailed review. Seems very versatile in how you can use it.
  15. East coast beast. Crawling into a 7 must have been fun.
  16. Bull shad 4x4 deep gets down around there maybe not 10 but pretty close on a long cast.
  17. Sooo that’s it? A $300+ reel or discontinued models that pop up once in a blue moon? Seems you gotta get lucky or fish round reels.
  18. Seems like float tubes and inflatable boats would the “thing” over there. Are there a lot of people doing that?
