  6. I noticed there was a MH review but no H! thought i'd do one. First off this rod says it's rated for 5-8 oz. When i first got it i thought to myself "That cant be! with those ratings i apparently can't throw an 8" Hudd!" I was right, the rating lies... I regularly fish offshore jettys, kelp forests, mainly saltwater bass. I am constantly throwing small, 1/2-3/4 ounce lead heads and this thing CHUCKS THEM. I could not believe it my first time. I hurled a 1/2 oz Warbait slayer head on a 5 inch MC Viejo swimbait a rediculously long distance. Now onto the fish handling. I havent caught many freshwater bass with this rod, mainly saltwater bass. It handles them real well. This rod has a real light tip yet the strongest backbone on any rod i've ever used. I have also caught 70 lb leopard shark on this. It handled that like a champ. it was doubled over but it could still bring the shark back around after a run. The weight is really nice as well. Real light, the only thing that weighs it down is my calcutta 300 TE over all this rod is a great all around rod for just about any kind of bigger game fishing.
  7. i do mainly saltwater stuff but on my calcutta 300 TE i have 65lb power pro brai d and i just top it off with 2-3 feet of 20lb p line in moss green... i don't throw much heavier than a slow sink 8 inch spro (around 4-4.5 oz) even though my swimbait rod is rated 5-8oz
