  1. The "316sdontwork" thing, as I understand it, is sarcasm. I see that hashtag come up on pics with fish caught on 316s. I don't think anyone is actually trashing on 3:16 with that tag, just humor.
  2. My favorite: When people think I have a fish when throwing the Hudd, I shake the rod tip a little bit to make it look alive and flopping. They walk over to see the fish, and I proceed to load up and fling that hudd as far as I can. You should see some of the looks I get
  3. Tho unrelated threads on Scottsdale right next to each other? Good stuff
  4. So you like the ss or the sk better
  5. Matt Peters has a few videos and articles om his blog, Southern Swimbait, all about bigbait fishing Brown Trout. I believe he was throwing TTs, Hudds, and even big jumbo streamer flies for them. Cool stuff.
  6. This sounds interesting and promising - do you have a picture of it? There are some very large lakers in Flaming Gorge (about 5 hours away) that are reputed to eat big swimbaits like candy right after ice-out. They definitely eat rainbows and kokanee like candy. Ever since I caught a 22" laker with a 9" kokanee down it's throat way back in the day when I had glasses and a full head of hair, I've realized that they areas bad (or as good ) as a bass when it comes to engulfing things. There are also reputed to be some mean and lure-hungry flathead cats in a lake about 5 h east of where I live that wait along the dam for unsuspecting baitfish to come waffling by. These cats get big, and being flatheads they have a bucket for a mouth, so again a lure that doesn't cause massive trauma might be useful. 6inch Hudd top hook. Drift it down the current near bottom and hang on.
  7. X2. As an outsider with no dog in the hunt I will only add two things: 1) I bought two BullShads when they were first available (Gen 1?). I was not impressed. One swam on it's side and one didn't swim at all. Mike made it right, but I was soured on BullShads from that point forward and sold both replacement baits. 2) Randall, you seem like a decent dude, and you certainly have decent guys on here that have your back. Unfortunately, it does nothing for your reputation (IMO) when you continuously put Bucca on blast whenever somebody mentions BullShads. It's all been rehashed ad nauseam. I understand you're angry, but let it go, log off, get back to making baits, and let the chips land were they may. If the circumstances are indeed what you state, you have nothing to worry about; you will continue to make successful baits and Mike will falter. If the opposite is true; vice versa. Arguing about it online doesn't help anybody. Just my two cents. Not that anybody asked. ^ X2 how many threads have we had on this? Aren't you on the tit now as well?[/quote On the tit? I bought a bull shad from the black market and caught a fish on it.
  8. How you like the heavy floater? I love it... On a long cast it gets down to about 8-10inches under the surface. You can run it on top too, keeping the rod tip up. Yeah looks like i will have to get the heavy floater.. saw your video nice fish! It's a fun bait that matches my style well...

  10. Sounds like you need to make a run to Pickwick...

  12. I believe this is a custom rat made by someone here on the forum. I got it in a trade, but dont see myself throwing it a ton. Would like to trade for 2 S-Wavers 168(non-trout), also open to 6" Weedless and non-weedless hudds, Weedless Shad/Grass Minnows... etc soft baits. Can text pictures, 770-843-9968. Thanks. Rat is in 10/10 conidtion and on the larger size.
  13. Punkass? I posted my opinion on the topic. Don't see why every topic turns into BS fishbeef... Damn cabin fever, people need to relax.
  14. Agreed^. I wouldn't call a bed fish caught on a swimbait a "swimbait fish", it's a bed fish that was caught using a swimbait. I love to bed fish, I find it one of the most fun and challenging ways to catch a giant. Do I support running a big female across a lake to get a picture or weight? No! I always release fish off a bed in the exact same place I caught them.

  16. OG UV buff is what I use. Multiple uses... cold and hot, night and day.
  17. I dig em... Tighter swim than a TT, mine NEVER rolls over at any speed and tracks dead on true straight. Solid hardware. The fish eat em too
  18. Great bait for me. Love the tight swim.
  19. Got a Morgan Custom &" Gill Glide today, opened her up and less than 5 hours later I had this girl. Very fun bait, slaloms well and glides evenly and nicely, 8-10 inches on each side. Big profile, definitely a big bass bait down here. This fish tracked if from the initial splash and came racing from 10' away to slam it. Serious drawing power! Enjoy...
