  1. I think Dr is the master with the slammer!
  2. I have had success with the 6" models in 68 and original weedless at this time of the year. The 8" works from around Thanksgiving till the month of May the following year.
  3. Should have typed this before. Lester is a television broadcaster. Therefore, he will not bite the hand that feeds him. Mostly Israeli business owners own modern news media. Donald could have grilled her if he wanted to. Lester was protective of her as expected before the debate. I guess we will have to pay for another 4 years of food stamps and bogus protest rallies.
  4. Just allow people to be the way that they are. Then they go to prison. If you truly fish...vote Republican. Simple as that.
  5. That would be nice. At my pond their is a drop shot and jig fisherman who wears slacks and loafers. He looks like an Amish bible salesman. Or cheap insurance. One or the other. He is very sarcastic about swimbaits or any lure being thrown. It's f...ing hilarious. True story!
  6. You'll be helping yourself out if you sell them off. I snapped the ones I had in half and chucked them into the garbage. The maker was banned from the old Nation site years ago. Food for thought.
  7. Is it working? I am also interested in this lure.
  8. I would say basic but still advanced baits like 8" Hudds in the Rainbow Trout pattern specifically. The 9" MS Slammer in Light Rainbow Trout, and one of my new favorites is the river 2 sea S waver(the size and color I'm keeping a secret for now). Those are all baits that you can slow roll and get a good look at to give you confidence to buy more swimmers.
  9. There was a debate about this on another California site several years ago. IMO people have to pay home owners association fees. You could be fishing just yards away from someones bedroom in the middle of the night or at odd hours early in the AM hours. Most people living there don't even throw a line in the water. However, you could be in fact putting your life at risk Big Time. Think about it. Hearing noises outside with someone wearing a head lamp. That is very strange behavior to most human beings. I fish public county parks so I don't have to worry about it, but what I stated were some of the arguments from what I recall from reading years ago. The lake they were arguing about was the spot where the 3:16 lure Co. founder used to live in. That lake has since dried out due to weeds as reported on the news years back and internet forums. Solution to the problem: Save your money or look for a better job to save more money and buy a home within the community. Same as saving up for a bass boat so you don't have to fish from shore. If you do which I never have. I would leave no trash behind. Including cigarette butts. Be respectful and kindly leave if asked to do so. Police officers will get involved and search you and check for warrants. Also arrest you on the spot if you are intoxicated.
  10. The Hunn never dies. He's surpassed the 10 pounder Hudd club in Indy that took most of us years to do.
  11. Just like a couple of people wrote. It could be structure or the sun. I think at least at one point we have all read to fish the side of the lake with shade. I believe that you should fish both sides with different lures and presentations. That will be difficult to do if you have that one good spot. Best not to throw all of your eggs in one basket. It could lead to a trophy.
  12. Down low customs? You mean Down Low Customs, with a Daiwa for the shoulder to shoulder "Swimbaiters"..... Jack off...Jackall throwers that fish while smoking "medical cannabis". Take a break, eat a Sssangwich. Hilarious! What do you want on your sssangwich? Spread the entire surface area with Butt Juice. BUMP....
  13. Man. That's really old school. The frog hooks were used at least 5 years ago.Your likely to snag the lure. Go BB style. If you are using a rof 0 hudd in the 8" model you should be ok. I still use them on the 0 hudd. Gamakatsu brand. Then again. I fish from shore. If snags are not a problem. They are perfectly ok. Sounds contradictory but it's not. It's fishing. Let us know how you do.
  14. IMO I believe that big bass don't exactly chase or feed on them regularly. They are more likely just being opportunist using their predatory nature. I have seen a national geographic video shot in Florida of a bass that was at least 10 lbs. take a swipe at another bass that was 3 to 4 pounds or so. But just like most animals in the wild. Many of them will not grow up to full maturity. They will like be eaten. So find yourself a good baby bass lure. Matt lures are a start.
  15. Hilarious ISO. I was just about to post my hiking shoes and a Fish Cat 4.
  16. Those are marks of hard work and dedication.
  17. +1 on popping the lure off of the bottom. That way when you begin your retrieve you are not kicking up a trail of mud on the bottom. That will usually spook them off. If your hugging the bottom with your hudd I recommend the top hook version if weeds are not an issue. That way they can pin your lure really good when they ambush. If you are fishing at night it's OK to kick up mud on the bottom. Hope that makes sense.
  18. Yes. Way too many Lurks on here lately whom want free stuff or quality baits for cheap. Posting reports, pics in the gallery or contributing with solid advice overall should be mandatory to even hold an account. Honestly there is a very popular site that starts with an "E" to just sell off junk that doesn't work for you. Then again. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
  19. You're still a young man and make a lot of mistakes in this world. As you are from my home state of Indiana I will cut you some slack. Anyways... most of us Really struggle to catch fish in the 10 pound class. If you were able to do that in Indiy you would be be the fisherman in the state. I live in California now where fish over 8 pounds are caught regularly, not so in Indy kiddo. I have taken lots of pics of giants that I have not yet been posted. Sometimes pics can be the dagger in someone's heart. Or inspiration. We all go through slumps and then persevere with hard work and multiple skunks on our backs. Take some time off and rekindle your thoughts.
  20. Dude 5-20 feet. Look into KVD lures.
  21. Overall flouro just has less stretch. It has superior advantages when it comes to visibility and not when fish are hooked within close proximity to you. Shore or boat. A lot of us use mono because of fish smashing lures on the last couple of cranks.
