  1. K.O. no....not real GaNkhraafter.
  2. That's a hell of a "Time zone" in between Saturday and Wednesday...... Having to look for a job is what is really real. So to speak as for a phoney expert artist with a lack of professionalism. Maybe Jealous of Southern bigger fish catches....hmmmmm cali...
  3. Yep, the Silver Trout one is as far as the Tapering on the head and tail end. They were going for $39.99 on TW in 2011 and I got 10 bucks off on the 8". The one I got in 2013 was different on the head in bluegill color. FYI the label from back then should say 9" not 8". Black Dog Changed it. I have the old box. The newer one planes better on the surface imo.
  4. I think that it's Spike It opaque white with whatever color overlayed. There are vids. of this. The deps skin is obviously transparent so white is necessary. The spike it is odorless. No air brush needed though will have better craftsmanship.
  5. There have been lots of post about this. CXX and XXX Izor works great period. You could try Big Game but I have no experience above 15lb using Big Game. Instead of blaming the line manufacturer try changing your casting technique. Try braid if you want. Underhand cast if you have to instead of forcing the lure to it's target.
  6. Is that a Canal Swimmer or a Magic? Or did you swap the Sebile eyes?
  7. Post away as this region can use some inspiration. How are the weedlines at your lake? Some lakes in So. Cal. are experiencing an aquatic plant die off and less green algae, due to lots of sun and almost no rain at all? Anyone worried about spot burning can give it up here and move to the boon docks!
  8. Can't blame the price as the waiting list is a country mile long on the weedless.....
  9. I would think of what to use right now. Based on water temperature. I fish mostly a hard bottom with chunk rock. So my approach is a slow rolled Huddleston or equivalent bottom top hook bait as the bass here use a pin technique to ambush prey on the bottom. Just yesterday I was brushing up on Swimbait City on Huddleston retrieve speeds and depths. The rof 12 to start the day with is good to retrieve as soon as the bait splashes the surface of the water. Use a medium fast retrieve. Start in shallow water then switch to a rof 5 and move the bait slowly. Toggle between the 5 and the 12. I have also had success by downsizing to a 168 waver fishing shallow and slow if the hudds are not working. As far as the bigger glides, just getting started. Our album section has old hudd post though if interested.
  10. Fish Dr. over the years has great post of the possum baits.
  11. Fishing topwater all year. Slow wake and sub surface glide. Just need trout or downsize to match the bigger shad.
  12. X2 on working the bait from different angles to jostle the bait loose. Before that click the reel into free spool then walk down shore if possible on slack line. Tighten the line a bit and try bow and arrow snaps. Try to slowly, gently pull without breaking off to straighten out the hooks ...especially round bends. If your park has thick mill tarp or public works structure then the bait is toast. If the hooks are snagged on rocks the bait will pop loose eventually. Caught in a rock wedge. More burnt toast.
  13. I don't fish boat docks but try low light conditions when you can't see them. If it's a staging area then someone can chime in.
  14. Caught my first crawler bass on an I-wing 135. I caught one three weeks before on a Chug spook and decided to throw the I-wing in the same spot. The lure is ok but weak on the hardware as the wings have to be bent back into shape to get the lure to creep crawl like it does out of the package. The fasteners also have to bent back straight (mind the screw eye thread). This one bit mid-day on slow crawl with follow up cast and weighed 3.28 lb. on my rapala scale. The park I fish frequently has a bunch of quarter pound micro-dinks so I was happy about this one.
  15. Thanks for sharing. The topwater way is the best.
  16. Yep. Use an xacto to remove the eyes and super glue them into the cavity. Mend it will work for sure.
  17. Great point as I always revert back to SBN from memory. Nothing against DRT as I do not use the TK but perhaps there should be a thread section for under 8" swimmers. We had a saying back then to go big or go home. We had exceptions such as the G2's but the small swimmer stuff is starting to get ridiculous. IMO jig and worm fishermen at heart lurking on the forum are using the TK' s and are to be ignored demanding of advice on how to catch bass. Food for thought. The 8" huddle works better than a 6" hands down.
  18. Yep to that. Kind of off topic. Not exactly a heat bait. Noticing a lot of small lures over the last couple of years being posted.
  19. I noticed the front hook has a long shank. Does it foul up on the walk?
  20. Maybe the pectoral and gill area but cool design though. What's the name of the lure?
  21. If you do a search on YouTube it's clearly the silent killer 145 mod. with a round lip and fluke tail. Looks like the opposite as far as a rip off design. The old silent killer 145 lip can be removed with a hair dryer. The new versions are now made from ABS obviously. There is a connection between the new the sweet killer and silent killer. IMO throw big baits.
