  1. I was riding the "Skunk Train" pretty had for a few weeks so I decided to take a few days off work and catch the 1st Trout Drop here in Texas... I about blew my elbow out in the process but I managed to catch 3 decent fish in 2 days (5.3,7.8, and 8.2)... All my bites came on the RM Negotiatior Alumni...Had 2 over 5 come unbuttoned and saw a few followers looked to be 10ish ROD: LDC Heavy and XH ... LINE: 17-20LB Segar Invesex REEL: ABU REVO Toro Beast /Tranx 200
  2. Ok SU I'm 39 and have been fishing bigger baits for several years now... But over time I have been FORCED to sell/trade all my big top water Punker style Walking baits due to an ongoing elbow issue getting worse... Topwater walking baits have always been my favorite ways to fish-But Now glides are giving me trouble! ...Glides as small as the RM Negotiator so I guess it's just time sell everything and get a fairy wand! Although I do fish a bit on the aggressive side...Lots of rod pops and switches...which I assume causes "side pressure" to the elbow when the rod is worked is parallel to the water... I wonder if some guys use the reel only? Would switching to LEFT HANDED Reels help??? Is that why you guys have a tendency to use Lefty's? I have never thought about it...I'm Right handed... I'll admit...I probably over did it last weekend...I Threw the Negotiator for 2 days straight (11-12 Hrs 1st day and about 6 hours the 2nd day) By the end of the 1st day the pain was getting close to unbearable...Left elbow was throbbing and popping and my shoulder was getting really tight probably because I was over compensating for the elbow pain. Anyway-Felt pretty good in the morning so I went back out but quit a little early due to the pain being greater than the fun I was having,Plus the bite died off... SWIMBAIT ELBOW: A common medical Condition among BIG BAIT CHUNKERS...Elbow Inflammation caused by excessive casting of Big Baits! CURE: Ned Rig + Fairy wand I don't know but it hurts like hell so any insight would be very helpful Thanks and happy Holidays SU Family!

  5. Swims good...primarly a wake but will dive about a foot on a fast retrieve... I cant post videos here...you will have to check my IG:AMERICANTEXAN APPRECIATE YA'LL
  6. It was a mess let me tell ya! Yes- One full strip of Fabric down the middle (I figured it would compromise the strength to have separate pieces) As you can see I had to cut the Fabric Strap in the middle to add movement...clearly has along way to go!
  7. Hey guys I wanted to try something new...mainly because I'm lazy and wanted to try and figure out a "Fail Proof" way to quickly make a Joint between lure body pieces... Obviously it would need to Be: Perfectly Straight,Move freely, and be Strong as hell! I took 2 pieces of wood and laid the Fabric down between them, Applied Glue and clamped the heck out of it... Then started to shaping from there. MISTAKE #1 : I got to much epoxy on the 1st Fabric joint...it was way too stiff so I decided to Cut it out but was able to keep the other 2 Fabric Joints (Allways learning) MISTAKE #2 : I need to find a more flexible fabric...let me know if you know of a suitable material??? So I kind of ended up with a crazy bait in the end...not my original plan but it swims great. (Hope you like it)

  12. What up... I finally finished my 1st 3 Pc Gill Started out as a 4 Pc but sanded a bit too much and decided scrap the last section... Also went with a slightly different joint configuration with I think I will stick with since it's fairly tight but still allows good movement and clacking sound. Took for ever to complete but I happy with the results-Let me know what ya'll think Peace-Justin
