  1. Here a pic of one, also here's a pic of the alpha mink I drilled and filled it with lead to make it a crank down. Now the thing weighs like 12, 13 Oz with all the lead. Swim's absolutely beautiful though last time I threw in ideal conditions I ended up getting three bites on it. I ended up dumping in 8 plus pound bass on it. Cought 4 pounder 20 mina later.
  2. I use two Wolverine triple split rings and a high quality Barrel Swivel. I haven't had an issue. I like to run this with really big baits though like a 12-in minimum I'm sure I could get away with smaller setups. I prefer rigging it up like this instead of having of having gaint 4/0 to 6/0 treble hooks. I can use a thin really strong 3/0 hook. I haven't lost any fish I've caught a few on the AC original 14-in fatty. I got them on my Rago 13-in tools and my AC Super Mag plugs and I put the same thing all my manifold 555. Also did the same thing with the ear Hook Hangers On the codename Bass. So now they rotate as well
  3. Places that you get run out during the day like from 9:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. have a epic Night Bite as far as I'm concerned you can't go too big as far as Baits go I throw a lot of 12 to 18-in baits at night but don't forget about the humble paddle tail like a 6-in magdraft to whatever you think of.
  4. I caught one on a 11-in Gladiator it was only 22 and a half inches long. Gotten a few bites on a 12-in top trout I've been waiting for the river to go back down right now. It's blown out, but I'm going to try to stick one on a wild beat and the Gara Gara. My buddy gotten a few rainbows on a 10 inch mag. I think it's safe to say biggest fish in the river eats whatever it wants. It's a lot easier fishing a small bait then throwing 10 to 11 oz baits.
  5. I was just looking for conventional baits to melt down and just buy a couple packs to use as my plastic.
  6. What some super buoyant soft Plastics that really like to float? I made extra tail molds to repair my bait and to modify my baits. I took this 14-in osprey didn't like the way it swim so I cut it off and added an alpha King tail. Now it's a wieghtless line through but the plastic I used for the tail likes to sink and the Osprey plastic really floats. Don't want to buy another osprey just to melt it down so it can have a more horizontal swim. The other baits I work on I need to fill the cavity up with plastic so I can put in my own line through system.
  7. I got bit a few times over this weekend here in Idaho but it was on warm sunny days. Water was around 45 to 48° these fish were sun on themselves up on rocks concrete slabs and any wood around coves and points. These where the first fish pushing shallow. Super lethargic but they would Chase a rof 5 hudd as slow as I could roll it without dropping depth. I also got bit on my tuned xx slow sink code name bass. It's had to fish more than a a foot and half and likes to suspend around the 2 feet mark. Super long hang times but got the most bites on that sunny day. I just didn't swing on those fish because I was fishing next to trees without polarized glasses and two feet of visibility just didn't want to take a swim but I've been kicking myself in the head all this week about not setting the hook.
  8. Finally found the measurements. Length 23-3/4 and girth is 19-3/8. The dale hollow record had a 27inch length, I couldn't find the exact girth number but obviously it was a 20 plus inch girth.
  9. Does anyone know the dimensions of this Beast? Haven't seen anything about length and girth.
  10. My first was a xxl two piece nezuma rat. Out of all the all my expensive glides the best swimming one I've ever owned was a homemade 13 and half inch glide cost me nothing to build and there's nothing out there even comes close to the swim. I wish I still had it let my best friend use it while I was out work. He went to Tie on anther bait and some random dog at the small lake grabbed it and ran off with it. Never found the dog, I hope it choked on it. This is the only pic I have of it took it apart to paint it.
  11. 5 inch ac minnow, 6 inch triple skinny, bbz rat 25, and a dark sleeper are some of my favorites that around that 1oz mark.
  12. Wise choice white/bone is one of my favorite color for trout. I haven't heard of those shops, but I like what I see just from that one picture. Who ever painting those up is doing quite the good job. I've always wanted to get some rago top trouts painted in those brown and brook trout patterns.
  13. I would definitely give them a shot. I've been happy with them. It's crazy Allen just came out with his take on a salmon plug. I don't do any trolling, but I've been interested on trying to find a salmon plug I can cast from Shore. The action on those styles of plugs are crazy erratic reminds me of the scatter rap how they dart side to side.
  14. I'm using the ac minnow, but there ones that he outsourced that have thicker lips there. One I have is 7 inches and thick and other 8 inches. Those ones swim really good in current. The ones I've bought direct from him and swim great in current that are my favorite for trout. Is the 5 inch ac minnow and the 8 and 6 inch triple skinny. I do have some older 9 inch minnows some crank down in current really well and some don't I do have those ones but I have a hard time convincing myself to throw those smaller style ac plugs. I haven't tried the 9 or 12 inch ac minnows you can buy Direct from him yet. If they swim good in current I will definitely put them in my rotation.
  15. Mee too I'm tired of all my fish seem to stop growing right at 22 half inch and just get thicker after that.
