  6. thanks guys. I have plans to fishing tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes. Weather has been really weird so Ill blame it on that
  7. I fish in northwestern Wisconsin. There are alot of weeds. Lakes are medium/small with mostly muck/sand bottoms maybe a few gravel patches here and there. No trout stocking but lots of largemouth, muskies, and walleye stocking. The water level is somewhat unstable but not much +-2ft max. As the year progresses mostly boat but so far all bank except one time. I have been trying to keep the hudds slow as possible rolling along the bottom. I have taken time off of throwing swimbaits to fish jigs and worms. I have DNR maps and I have Navionics on my iPod. hopefully that answers all the questions.
  8. I just started throwing swimbaits this year. I have put about 30+ hours into my small collection of 2 huddleston 6" baby bass and 2 Mattlures smallmouth tournament series. So far I have been skunked on every trip throwing them. So I'm turning to you guys. any advice is appreciated and will be taken with gratitude.
  9. I have made a log sheet but I haven't got around to use it yet.
  10. nice one! Theres plenty of those toothy critters up here.
  11. I forgot to say that it snapped were the original blank and the small piece met. There was a space in between them. In the New handle the dowel and the blank piece extend to right below the reel.
  12. The first day out actually throwing swimbaits (due to the upper Midwest's prolonged winter ) I broke my handle in two on the second cast. It was My own fault. When I made this rod my friend had put a handle on it but it wasn't long enough. So I boiled the rear grip off and put on a longer one. To fill the empty space I put in a small piece of rod blank and a generous amount of epoxy. well that didn't work... So back to the Drawing board. The old Handle still wasn't long enough and I had enough materials to make a split grip. With a longer piece of blank and a wooden dowel for reinforcement. I give you swimbait rod 2.0 Before After
  13. sounds like you need to upgrade your tackle!

  17. I have been researching what baits to get and from were, for my first swimbaits. I was thinking the other day that TWH supports the underground but do they support the makers of the baits. and if it would be more benefical to the makers to order off there websites or to order from TWH. any opinions?
