I fish mostly in a reservoir where swimming will get you tossed for life and a hefty fine. I have a daiwa line retriever that works pretty good and was thinking of getting some of those titanium break away split rings.

Double uni knot with Floro or mono braid just a 6 turn uni knot . Run the line thru the eye then back thru like a palomar knot then just tie a uni knot. Strong knot but it has 3 tag ends which is a non issue. I always check my line after a fish or if it gets wrapped around the hooks during a cast and retie if needed.

I have a luna 300 and 253 two lexas and 3 revo toros. For the money the lexa cant be beat. As for the luna's the 253 is plenty of reel where the 300 is overkill in my opinion and the revos just plain rock. If moneys tight lexa. Rods I started with an okuma big bait special and they were great for the cash now I use 2 dobyns 2 phenix 1 powell and a kistler with an LDC prod XH on order. They serve me well but my favorite is the Dobyns 867 it will throw anything I have biggest baif being a realprey 10" trout. Line I use floro from 17 to 25 lb test in either sunline or seaguar and sunline super natural mono.

My home reservoir Quabbin in MA is deep gin clear and I use either 20 lb sunline sniper FC or 25 lb seaguar abrazix depending on the setup.

Any bait that has a lot of pull to it like a cl8bait baby crankin possum I use a low gear ratio its just easier on the crankin hand. They also have the high speed with a power handle but I have not used one.

You need to get a CNC and bang em out by the hundreds

I sent them a pic which they will forward to ups. They said to use tbe rod and if it breaks it will be replaced. Thd last rod theh destroyed never made it to the house. It was crushed in a conveyor I was told.

Phenix M1 swimbait rod

Ordered a new rod and came home to find this. They tried taping it up hoping I wouldn't notice and delivered it anyways. Believe it or not the rod was still a 1 piece rod.

Large or small rising son? Thick fish for sure.

I was fishing not F5'ing

Headed out after work looking for a good bite in the wind and caught a 5lb 12oz about 10 casts in on a Pats Perch. The fish hit close to the boat in 3 FOW. I ended up with a chunky 3lb 4 oz with a huge gut and a dink.

This is also supposed to be the fish.

That bait kills em in my area.

Worked till 10 this morning then came home and loaded up the pond prowler and headed to a small pond to toss some swimbaits. Made a half a lap tossing a PP and didn't get a sniff and switched to a glide bait as the trout were jumping all over the place so I figured maybe a trout bait would work. Nothing, went back to the PP and tossed it up in 6 FOW near some small lilly pads and it got crushed by a 6-11. Got bit two more times missing the first bite and losing about a 2 pounder at the boat. Water was 70 to 74 degrees

That bait rocks. I was stikin fish within a half hour after tying it on. Would love the trout.
