i have a standard chlorine pool and test my baits in it to get an idea of the swim and what not and i was wondering yesterday does the chemicals affect the baits? i typically wash the baits off in my sink after but just wondered if pool testing may be a bad thing for the baits.. Would the fish be able to notice the chemical if i didnt wash it off..

For sure but in reference to figuring out how thick a negotiator size would have to be. Id imagine a piece of rubber cutting mat for exacto knives might be the right thickness.

 

Give it a try and let us know. I will eventually get to it, but it may take a while. I am not a bait tinkerer by no means, but the negotiators would benefit greatly from silencers in my opinion.

Considering - A. I live in Oregon and fished LMV for a week straight last year didn't really get questioned by anyone, and B. Austin lives on Mission....You're probably wrong.

What do you guys think??? Fishing in a pond that is only 160acres catching #8, 9, 10, and 13+ consistently day in day out; would you tell the whole world??? How do you guys feel if after years of fishing this lake? All of a sudden you see it being exploited all over the social media sites. On top of that having to witness multiple bucket fishermen’s with stringer full of bass walking the shoreline in search of spawners. Honestly this makes me sick. I believe in fishing and sharing information but damn not to the whole world right??? Am I wrong for being pest off? In my understanding fishing pressure does and will effect bass population over time along with the consistency of big toads. For those who have been in the game for years what are your thoughts???

Just saying, Wayne has been around for a while. He's a good guy and I think you're misunderstanding what he's saying. And as someone that lived in socal for almost 20 years and grew up fishing the same ponds that I know you are from the pictures I've seen pop on facebook and instagram, all those places have a decent amount of stunted fish. I think his point is also not to load up a bucket, but that one guy keeping a fish or two isn't the end of the world.

 

By the way, what do you have against Hungarians?

dont get me wrong bucket fishing is allowed with in the limits none of the bucket fisherman know or care about but i just dont see people taking bass from city parks being a good thing and i dont think releasing fish at city park is going to stunt the population but what do i know i fish those ponds i dont live in PA so i dont know squat about CA Ponds.
