  1. Thanks everyone! Hopefully much more to come
  2. So I've only been throwing swimbaits since December, which is when I got my first setup. I caught a dink on my first trip out on a 6" Spro BBZ-1 and haven't caught a fish on it since. Granted, I got busy with school and work and had slight tackle issues (trunk closed by itself and snapped my Okuma rod when I was trying to get it out) so I really haven't been enough to blame anything but myself. I finally started getting back out there last week and in my four or five trips, I've not been able to stick any fish. No big deal, still learning. I've been reading a lot about night fishing with swimbaits and decided to give it a go since my sister lives on a canal here in Florida. I get out there around 9:45. Bam. First cast with the 6" Spro, fish hits and misses three times. I don't mind, its just nice to finally get some strikes. Fish for about 20 more minutes getting constant strikes, but all of them missing the bait. Finally hook a small one, but I lose it right at the dock. Again, no big deal, my blood is pumping and I keep casting while getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Around 10:10, something huge hits my bait. I've never heard something attack any lure more aggressively. It misses the first time, I keep slow rolling and it comes back and nails it. Set the hook and fight her to the dock. Biggest bass I've seen in person. I quickly call my sister and tell her to run down to take a couple of pictures. Weighed her at 8lb 11oz
