Was using the Light trout color. I like that color best in the fall because the trout I'm seeing are not as dark as in the spring. Thanks!

Dave what hooks did you use? I tried switching to ST-56's both size 1 and it totally killed the action because of the extra weight that was not on the balance points.

I has guessed my original guess again with my second guess so I will use my third. 4" U2 Bluegill- Paddletail floater. Even if this isn't the bait please make one! It would absolutely slay bass everywhere with a nail weight in it so its a super slow sink subsurface bait. -

If you can spend a little bit over $100 get a silent killer 250 and convert that sucker. Saves $50+ dollars on a slide swimmer. All you need to buy is the bait and some tungsten putty if you have a saw and a sander.

What knot do you braid and leader guys use for swimbaits? I used the uni to uni knot in the past but one time it failed for some reason (yes, I tied and wetted it down perfectly) and I lost a bait on a hookset. Is there a better, reliable knot besides the uni to uni and blood knot?
