I have owned 3 pairs of Oakley's with my last pair being the shallow blue fishing specific. After only two years the coating started coming off the lenses of the fishing specific lenses so last year I bought my first pair of Costas and I love them and I don't think I will ever buy another pair of Oakley's.

Which rod would you reccomend for throwing a 250 slide swimmer? Im looking at the LDC XH production or the XXH custom. Is the XH heavy enough or should I go with the XXH? I was looking at the Dobyns 867 but I read some reviews about the reel seat breaking, so now I'm leaning towards the LDC. Any other suggestions?

I use a spray called camp dry available at your local Wal-Mart in the camping section. It works well on jackets and boots for me.

I agree that you should go when you get the opportunity but I have become a believer in moon phases. I have kept a fishing log since 1993 and most of my big fish came near the new or full moon with only a few exceptions. I now schedule my spring vacation days around the new and full moon if the weather forecast looks good. Since I have started taking vacation days around the new and full moon I have had much better success, then a couple of years ago I started fishing swim baits and they have improved my average pre spawn bass weight by 3 pounds. Moon Phase + Good Weather + Swimbaits = Giant Bass

Ive owned three pairs of Oakleys and thought they were great polarized glasses until I got a pair of Costas last year. I have been happier with the Costas then I ever was with any of my Oakleys.
