I do believe the new big baiters are at a disadvantage though. When the Huddleston first came out you could just chuck and wind it and you would get bit. At one lake all you had to do was throw it out on an island top and they would choke it before it hit the bottom! Those days are long and gone. The fish have a lot mor pressure and see the bigger baits more often. You have to hunt for them and learn their behaviors to be successful. And that's where we older guys got our confidence from. Just a thought.

T Dot, one of my buddy's doesn't even have line on his spinning rod! LOL He just stands there and shakes it. Don had a funny look on his face the first time I handed him a spinning rod before we got in the boat. LMAO

Most of the "new big baiters" want everything handed to them and don't want to put in the time or effort to learn and really understand it's a timing and angle game. I have two fishing buddy's that will throw swimbaits all day and except the fact that they may get a goose egg for the day, but that's swimbaiting. What kills me is when they pull up in their boat and mark your spot or look at your rods to see what you're throwing. That's why I keep a spinning rod on the deck at all times. When ever I see a boat approaching I pick it up and tell them it's a tuff day hoping the fish in the livewell don't make any noises. I've even used Advil bottles and braid for maker buoys. All these new " big baiters" will fade away and you'll be able to pick up their gear cheep. LOL

I'm glad this was finally posted. It seems if your a " no buddy" you get put on the back burner! Even after you pay in full. I got my baits back from him and one was half done. That's right not finished! But I am a "no buddy" so it's no big deal. Oh and the tails on the bull shads had paint all over them and it looked like he tried the trim the paint out of them. Plain and simple bad busness, anyone that take your money and doesn't have the common cruelties to get a hold of you and explain what's taking so long is plain and simple bad business. You should never have to call about something you've paid for.
