I know this thread is old but was just flipping through and saw the post on the 9" single joint, called the Original. The size is Mike's medium lure, first style he made back in 95, I own about 15 slammers and the 9" original takes the cake on all of them.... I live in Mass and I know the fishing is much different up here than compared to the south, but the most success ive had on this bait is fishing it fast and deep, about 3 ft below the water, just rippin it with the rod tip in the water. I typically only like to fish them in 6 ft or so... that's where ive had my most success, but have also ripped some big boys in 8-10' deep waters. one thing with the slammers is that they all don't swim the same, some much better than others... its a quick fix with an adjustment of the eye either left or right.... anyways amazing lure, great price, and catches fish consistently.... I have my PB on a ms snake (14") a couple years ago, 7 lb 6 oz whish is a monster for the area im in... the snake has been replaced with the ms eel, which has a rubber tail vs the wooden tail on the original snakes... highly suggest anyone that has never fished one to pick one up, Mike is also cool with doing all custom colors, takes about 4 weeks delivery
