I have to admit as well when i first joined i ask a question or two but then realized to search and read old post. I can tell you its all good information, but as stated before it will not give you instant success... I've been throwing swimbaits for around a 7 months and all I have gotten are 1-2 lbs and followers. The best way to learn is to study you lake learn what the fish are doing and apply what you read on here at the lake. Every chance i get im out on a lake throwing swimbaits and It is a grind you have to be dedicated or it wont work and i can say just the thought of everything coming together for me one day and sticking a DD makes the days not catching fish and learning worth it.

Mainly looking to hunt waterfowl and upland birds. I purchased a benelli nova and im happy with the synthetic. I heard the recoil is a little rough due to how light it is, so im going to buy a recoil pad and more shells with the money saved.

I was kind of leaning towards camo, but since its not necessary I'm going to get synthetic. I work at a sporting goods store that has it so a discount is nice, and me being a new hunter this helps a lot and saves me money for other things like swimbaits, shells etc... Thanks guys!

so its not worth the extra 100 for a camo vs synthetic ?

I know a lot of people on here own shotguns thanks to a previous post, and I was just wondering if camo makes that big of a difference on a shotgun when hunting?
