    Trying to help a friend sell some stuff.The Gantarels have small signs of use 9.5/10. Everything else looks like it came out of the package.     Nothing is wrong with the rod at all. The cork is a bit dirty but it's in perfect working condition. A dobyns 806 or same imx rod in heavy would be ideal. Lemme know what you have. I'll post pics of my rod later today.

    I have 2 bb-2z's they are a tad heavier @7.4oz but they hold more line 14/190. I've had zero problems with them. Definitely recommend if you haven't already looked at em. Been throwing 250s,8in hudds with ease and boy do they go far

    My last trip we were using 1 lb weights (standard rig they have on the boat for live bait) and jigs 6-10ozs. Both reels are pretty full and have 100yds maybe a hair less. It just felt god awful trying to reel with a right handed reel. Its like wiping your ass with the opposite hand. It gets the job done but its just so damn weird

    I went out last season with Virgs Landing for a rockcod/lingcod trip and used their gear. I was just wondering if anyone has went out using their own swimbait gear and if so, how it went. I'm asking this because I'm a lefty and all the gear they have is for right handers otherwise id use their gear or a friends until I have my own rod/reel for saltwater trips. But in the meantime this is what I have to use **8' Irod 3-10oz paired with a lews bb-2z 7.1:1 ratio and 20# pline ultimate floro ** 7'11" G Loomis IMX extra heavy 4-10oz with the same reel and line as above Any insight or suggestions are welcome

    What about using a screw lock (old spring) and some mend it with a Hudd tail? Might hold a little better than only using mend it

    I'll try Prado first but if the bites not happening I'll goto DVL. Does Matthews have LMB? I want to stay as close to where I'm staying because of the holiday traffic lol. Normal LA traffic already sucks not trying to figure out how bad it gets during thanksgiving/blackfriday

    Going to be in the corona/riverside area and I'm looking to head to Prado Lake during the Thanksgiving weekend. Is it worth going to? Or should I venture somewhere else? I seen that it gets trout plants so I imagine swimbaits should work there. Should I be throwing trout or gill baits? Any info would be great! oh forgot to mention ill be hitting it from the shore
