I tried repainting a friends swimbait. He wanted a blue gill so this is what i came up with. i still have a lot of practice to do. that's for sure. and a tail.

I got two yesterday. A dark and light gill ROF 5. Both look exactly the same and one of them swims completely sideways and the other is just a little tilted. Kinda disappointed.

Personally i like calcuttas for slow baits like hudds and wakebaits, but i like lexa for my hard baits that need a little more speed

I like them, but he is over pricing them. I don't know if they will sell too good because there is kind of a 50/50 split of san diego fisherman that like him and those that dont.

BB rig is the best, if you dont want to bend the hook under the skin then just cut it before it starts to bend and push it down into the foam. then super glue it in.

I'll be nice morena around the rock structure, El cap can be good and slow at times, Murray is an amazing place. I personally havent fished miramar but 25% of the top 20 largest largemouth bass (that were reported) have been caught there. Says something. Anyways, Have fun, don't forget to match the hatch my brotha. Maybe i'll see you out there one of these days
