If you're just getting started and don't have baits, Cardiff plus baits. If you've been fishing a while and are upgrading, do the Calcutta. I'd do the Cardiff, and tune/upgrade it with each yearly cleaning.

Good starter set for someone just getting in, and it looks like they have some mojo... -
There have been jointed hard swimming baits and soft plastic boot tails around since the 20's. The guys of the past 30 or so years have made them much better, from better materials, and much more realistic, but I would be leery of anyone who claimed to have"invented" the swim bait.
